SB: $1 (25 bb)
BB: $4.16 (104 bb)
UTG+1: $5.35 (133.8 bb)
UTG+2: $4.06 (101.5 bb)
MP1: $1.29 (32.3 bb)
MP2: $4 (100 bb)
Hero (MP3): $4.10 (102.5 bb)
CO: $0.80 (20 bb)
BTN: $3.62 (90.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A A
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.12, 2 folds, BB raises to $0.33, Hero calls $0.21

Flop: ($0.68) 2 J 2 (3 players)
BB bets $0.38, Hero calls $0.38

Turn: ($1.44) K (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($1.44) Q (3 players)
BB bets $1.16, Hero folds

Results: $1.44 pot ($0.08 rake)
Final Board: 2 J 2 K Q
BB mucked and won $1.36 ($0.65 net)
Hero mucked A A and lost (-$0.71 net)

The villain is 16/11 from 490 hands, 3bet from BB 9.7 (31), cbet in 3bet pots 100(5), 3.9 AF

Preflop I raise and he 3bets. I know I should 4 bet in this spot, but I decided to slowplay and raise the turn, committing him to the pot.

The flop goes according to the plan.

The turn is quite an ugly card. If he had KK he beats me, KJ also does. Not knowing where I stand and not wanting to spew much against a range I cannot quite figure out, I check behind.

The river completes a straight and a backdoor flush and he bets. i fold because almost every broadway beats me, plus if he had some backdoow draws, they arrived.

Beside the fact that I botched the hand from the beginning, I would like to know if I should bet the turn and if, as played, I made a good laydown

4 bet pre. Call river. You block the FD and beat his 2p.

Turn is a nice card... You beat KJ, ship it! (you have two pair with AA, 22.. while he only has KK JJ) 100% bet turn :)

Hi Zanardi,

Just 4-bet preflop especially when you are playing nitty and get scared easily postflop (you will lose a ton of value).

As played just bet the t urn.

Thanks coach :)

I am not getting scared. I wanted to vary my play a bit, just for fun.
