Hi Guys,
I'm playing a freeroll as we speak ok it's not a big tourney but we are on first break and no.1 player is up to 18,560 chips from 2,500 starting stack in 13 hands, how?, I've made a couple of mistakes but I'm ok on 2,070 chips level 4 blinds 50/100 now will let you know how I do.

Didn't do very well!

Hey hardlife66,

This will happen in most MTTs (freerolls more so). I can remember getting AA in the first hand of a freeroll and had 2 guys ahead of me go all in. How choice is that? Then unbelievably 3 more went all in after me so I sextupled up in 1 hand. :f_biggrin:

Have fun

Laz

Most of the time it struggles to hold 3 way, let alone 6 way and that hand enabled me to play very nitty and ended up 3rd out of ~900. I think it may well have been my first ever MTT FT.

I'm not entirely sure but I think you lose about 10% for each one. Fish. :sifflote:

Playing at 888 in the VIP Freerolls I have gone from a 3000 stack to almost 200K before the first break. You just need to get a bit lucky and double 5 or 6 times.

Something that I have noticed in the freerolls at 888 and it may be my imagination but it seems the rng favors the bigger stacks and eliminates the smaller ones. Therefore I will push over the top of someone with mediocre cards in a freeroll if I have the bigger stack where I wouldn't in a paid tournament and often times I get lucky.

It's not just me either. If you watch the action closely you will find the bigger stacks getting in from behind and hitting their 2 outer or runner runner many times. Much more than they should anyways. Or maybe it's a coincidence?:f_ugly:

Sometimes 3 or 4 players go all in and the one rag hand hits a straight or flush on the river versus premium hands. It happens...All about luck!
