Nut flush vs check/raise on the river

Interesting hand here.

Actually I wouldn't mind folding this against him on the flop, because we don't get enough odds here (I think). On the contrary, if we have seen him playing aggressive post-flop, then we could call here or even put the pressure back with 3-bet. Being deep here makes it harder though to 3-bet.

As played, river is fine. I would also go for value but would never call a raise when the hand is played like this. It's full-house 90 % of the time.

I think you played it well. On a paired board I am not happy to put 150+ BB in with that hand, so fold after his huge raise is ok.

I think that he doesn't have two pairs on the flop that often because he is not calling those preflop oop that often. Might have 76s sometimes. On the flop, besides sets and two pairs with 76, he might have some overcards with a flushdraw, so I gave him this range: 99,77-66,76s,AcQc,KcQc,AcJc,QcJc. Against this range you have 36% of equity. He is giving you the pot odds of 33%, so I think you can profitably call in this spot, given the range I gave him. If we give him a little tighter range: 99,77-66,AcQc,KcQc,AcJc, we have 31% of equity, so the call is not profitable any more. All in all, if you think that he could have some semi-bluffs in his range, you can call, but it's not like super profitable and can even be a bit non-profitable, I think.

Since he looks aggro. and we are deep, I would rather check back flop, I expect him to x/r a lot on this kind of board, plus we have some showdown value with the A. Honestly, I would always x/r such flop vs. reg (assuming he sees you as reg). Not sure if check back is better otr. From what you are seeking value?

If he is check-raising with a bluff we can still call. We have a chance to get flush, as well as we can hit an A. Sometimes he might be ch/raising flop and giving up turn. Besides, how are we going to win this pot, if we don't bet, we hit turn and river bets and we still have ace high? And how are we going to get value with our flush if we just check? So I think it's way better to bet flop here.

Value? He could have str8, worse flush and stuff. Ofc he can have sets, but he will raise those.

And what will you do vs rhe big raise?

Vs. more passive oponent betting is good imo, since he wont have much bluffs and he will call his draws and will raise the strong made hands. Vs. aggro I would play the hand passively.

So fold here is right, right?

I would have played it the same way as hero.
Anyway, if I had only 100bb stack I would even consider folding on flop after his raise but being deep I like the call here.
