I have moved your hand to the hand discussion forum, because it’s fits better there.

Looks like you played the hand well here. It has not to much sense to raise on the turn against his bet and river I would call as well as cash game fish :f_cool:

Best regards,

Yeah, I think it's well played. We can't really fold the turn and with raising will most likelly isolate ourselves against sets. Given the price we get, the river is also a call, crying one, though. :)

lol. 31/10 guy wakes up and starts donking, flush comes, board is paired and you suggest us calling that with TP?

+EV Bluffcatch, even a snap because of the pot-odds you're facing.

The river reduces the amount of sets/fullhouses and turns AA into a two-pair that now beats 9Ts(2) which is a somewhat likely hand to have been played this way by a weaker player.

Other than that, you're looking at a typical bluff-catch spot with the mid-part of your range, it's a reasonable call and I wouldn't really bother questioning it, but keep in mind that you're expected to lose more 2/3s of the time yet still be good for the river call (you'll see several flushes here, but that doesn't mean the call is incorrect). That said, the reason you're posting this hand is obviously because you received negative feedback(lost the hand; which as stated is to be expected a majority of the time), which is the problem with the conditioning process in this game and why one cannot rely solely on intuition based on experiences.

I see your point, but should we fold the turn just because he donks when it's very likelly that we have the best hand? True that he might hit the flush on the river, but if you think about it, fish doesn't donk the flushdraw on the turn that often, rather check/call it. The same with sets on the turn, I expect him to check/call or check raise them rather than donk. Plus, we need 18,7% of equity to call the river and now we beat T9. I think we have to call the river with the price we get.

You have a passive guy, that donks turn. What is your reason for calling there? Sets and 2P beat you.

He raised pf, so his hand is limited to Ax and pockets with the low ones less likely and some midrange suited connectors, maybe. That in mind the call on flop could still be any pockets/sets and AT because the board is so dry it doesn't really permit of any draws. Turn he suddenly donks. I agree that most fish won't donk (just) with flushdraw, so I think his range here is something like 9T, TT, 44, JJ-KK, pure bluff: out of position float, (AA, AT, 22, 78) with the one in brackets less likely, and I'd also think a bluff is very unlikely with those stats. We only win against JJ-KK and have no outs against his other hands except for a lucky ace on the river. So I tend to agree, turn is a fold. River is a call 1:3 imo, but yeah, it hurts.
