July 21
This Session could have been better, i was playing 2/4, 3/6 and 5/10 and loosing slightly. I had one Hand where i decided to play a line that you don´t play very often: call Turn, Raise/fold River
This was the Situation (Sorry, the hand converter does not work):
Dealt to Cornholio [ :heart:10 :heart:A]
Loomy74: Fold
Cornholio: Raise (NF) $2.00
jean13260: Fold
vitospapa: Fold
StefanNRW: Call $1.00
FLOP [:diamond:K :diamond:K :heart:T]
StefanNRW: Check
Cornholio: Bet $1.00
StefanNRW: Call $1.00
TURN [:diamond:3]
StefanNRW: Bet $2.00
Cornholio: ? Calls, planing to raise non diamond rivers.
I think to just call down is to weak, i get value from a lot of worse madehands. I could raise the Turn, playing that line i would get 1 more Bet from draws for sure. but there a several reasons why i like a riverraise more:
it would be very ugly to get 3bet on the turn, since im beat most of the time but might also get bluffraised by a draw and i have 4 outs against a flush. also i think he would barrel every draw on the river anyway, usually if somebody starts bluffing he is not giving up the river, so i get the same amount from draws.
also i think i have better chances to get light calls since most guys dont fold a pair on the river for 1 Bet.
and i don´t think i get 3bet on the river as bluff ever, this is much more unlikly then to get bluffraised on the turn, so i could find an easy fold to a 3bet.
