Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero is SB with 5♣ 6♣
UTG calls $0.02, CO calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.01, BB checks
Flop: ($0.08) K♣ 7♥ 7♣ (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks, CO bets $0.02, Hero raises to $0.08, BB folds, UTG calls $0.08, CO calls $0.06
After everyone checked and then a fish min-bets (which I take for a check) I feel like our raise (which I consider just a bet) has decent FE because looks like nobody has a K.
Turn: ($0.32) K♠ (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, CO checks
I didn't bet again because K is not a good bluff card. It can be good enough against 22-66 which I assume UTG is full of, but I wasn't sure where I stand, and so I decided not to bluff here.
River: ($0.32) 9♥ (3 players)
Hero bets $0.23, UTG folds, CO folds
Seeing how everybody checked behind and river is a complete blank, I decided that my flop check-raise and turn check line looks like a full-house that got tricky and missed out value on the turn. Also, I don't think any of the villains hit this board at all, they probably have busted draws like me and maybe a low pocket pair for UTG, which should fold here as well.
Now I do acknowledge that I don't have to make moves like that to win money on NL2, but I'm not super concerned about winning money on NL2, I'm just trying to improve my game and get any extra EV I can so I can get back to NL5 and hopefully NL10 once my downswing is over.
