hm I don't really understand why don't you win, I see your comments on the forums and they are really good!

Do u play too many tables?
Don't you table select?
Do you tilt easily?

Have you tried playing on another room? Maybe Full Ring?

I really don't know.. All my stats are reasonable. Not perfect, but reasonable. I see alot of guys which are analysed in videos and have much worse stats, but are winning. So, who knows. I play zoom. Used to play three tables, but recently switched to two. I see some improvements, but not sure if that's the problem. Probably I'm tilting more than I'm aware of, but I think it doesn't have a mega huge impact on my play. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I've played at PokerStars and iPoker and was always the same, so the room is not an issue. I'm not a huge loser, but with the rakeback and stuff am always break even. Which is funny, it's the same at NL10, NL16 and NL20.

As I said, I switch to two tables and will see how it goes.

You are probably just running bad. You're by no means the worst reg at NL20 by a long stretch.

For a long time I was thinking that am just running bad, but not really sure anymore because I would have to run bad for like 300k hands (for which I need like a year and a half to play). I don't have one huge leak to concentrate on, but a bunch of small ones which need to be fixed.

A couple of weeks ago I was thinking of quiting poker because I'm not sure that will achieve my goals with it - earning a good side monthly income, and I will be 30 soon. So, spending alot of free time to something which doesn't get me profit doesn't look tempting and I am quite pragmatical person. I wouldn't have hard time to quit because there are alot of other things I could conentrate on (like programming, sports...) Recently I'm considering reseting myself, which means withdrawing the most of the money and starting to play NL5, and buy something just for myself (upgrade the PC or something), to show myself that I've got something from poker. Will see how it goes, I don't want to rush with any decision.

Hi, saw your comment in hand evaluation and decided to check what you write here. Sad to hear that you are strugling, especially as someone said that you post good comments.

Don't you know where are you leaking money? if not, maybe need to find that out first. You mentioned in title w34z3l. Maybe need to hire him, if I remember right he is micro limits coach, so not too expensive and maybe he can point the leaks?

Thats demotivating to read. I know one guy mss player who beats NL20 at 2 bbs over maybe million hands (I am not sure if its all NL20), not a crusher, but maybe he could tell you smth. There are some differences, but many things as I understood from him are same for BSS.

Hi! Thanks for posting!

I've allready hired w34z3l for 10 sessions (4 to go). So, I pretty much have a clue where my leaks are. I was way too tigh from the blinds (3betting and cold colling to less, especially from the BB), so I fixed that. I could still be a bit looser, though. Then I was 3betting too less from all positions, so I fixed that. Again, I could still 3bet a bit more from all positions, but my overall 3bet is like 7,2 currently. Then I was open raising way too less from the SB and BTN, so I fixed that. I'm folding too much to 3bets, but nut dramatically too much (67%), but I should fold much less when on the SB and BB. I fold too much to flop cbets (like 47%) and raise to less (like 10%), but it's also not that big deal. I was 4betting too less, but I fixed that.

So, basically, I fixed many of the leaks I had, but the winrate stayed the same. Must be that I'm leaking the money postflop now, since I fixed almost all of my preflop leaks. Will contact w34z3l soon for a next session and will go through my stats again.

I just started to play regular tables and moved back to NL10. Although I have a roll for NL25/NL20, I'm break even there (slightly losing), so I decided to take a step backward untill I'll feel comfortable enough to take another shot. I also moved to PokerStars again, where I can table select.

I had another coaching session with w34z3l and the conclusion is that the problem is postflop, but wouldn't go into details for now. Basically, I'm not aggressive enough and I'm not bluffing enough, missing some auto-profitable bluffing spots. Preflop game is fine, but could also be a bit more aggressive. Actually, I know all that from previous coachings, but the problem is that I know what I should be doing, but I just can't force myself to do it (probably because of a fear or something). For example, my river bet vs missed cbet should be like 80% because it's auto-profitable situation, but mine is like 30% because I always find reasons why not to bluff. So, the homework is to fire every time in those spots untill I'll feel comfortable and it will become my standard play (auto-piloting game). Playing NL10 at first should help me.

I plan to move to NL16 and then NL25 as soon I will feel like.

thats interesting. You mean OOP - when opoenents cbets flop, checks turn and you should lead 80%?
and if IP - you double float - flop and turn, and then bet river?

That's right. Ok, it should be more like 70%. The reason why those are auto-profitable situations is that the players don't check their strong hands (at least not at micro-limits, it's probably different on higher limits). The river is a bit tricky because you might sometimes need to overbet, to make them fold mid-strenght hands (like TPGK). I think that w34z3l mentioned all those things in the Red Line Rampage series.

interesting. Probably would need to watch video first, because I am not sure how we can do that profitably if there are draws on board, so we do not rep strong hand by just calling flop and turn, and suddenly draws miss and on river "we suddenly have strong hand"..

It's because people don't think what we have, but only look at their hand and not sure if it's strong enough to call. When they check, they are usually not sure in the strenght of their hand, so we can usually fire river, sometimes as a bluff (in which case we would sometimes need to overbet) and sometimes as a thin value.

Sucks to see you struggle. You really are one of the players on this forum who is most consistent with updates and really trying to figure things out... but never underestimate the cruelness of poker, 300k is def possible to run bad in. However, and this is just meant to help, I do recall a post further back when I commented on some hands where you def "misplayed" quite a few hands. So maybe it's not that you're running bad for the entire stretch, just some bad play mixed with bad run that equals to few winning stretches.

Also, I just wanted to point out that fixing your stats and fixing your leaks are far from the same thing. Often when we're "fixing" our stats we pick the wrong spots quite often until we really have the hang of it, so it's not that uncommon I guess that your winrate didn't change (yet)! Hang in there and imo instead of posting suckouts and coolers, post hands in the areas you "fixed" to get other people's opinion on it :)

GL!!! :f_thumbsup:

Thank you for dropping by! :)

Yeah, definitelly my struggle is not just a bad luck, maybe even not a bad luck at all. I've allready noted that somewhere above. I also quited posting unlucky hands here, I think I'm "clean" for more than a month so far. What I'm doing for some time now is trying to post the hands here at Hand Discussions Forum where I wasn't sure how to play them, but I also comment the hands of others. I'm probably in top three posters in this Forum and I think that this is really important because it helped me alot in my play. I feel alot more comfortable at the tables.

I also agree that fixing the stats is not equal to fixing the leaks. But I think that stats could give a good info where the leaks are. The catch is, as you said, that you can leak even more by trying to fix the stats at wrong places.

Thanks again! :)
