Also, I would like to say that my English are not the best!

1st Homework

Input Open raising ranges and Cold calling ranges

Spoiler

My Bankroll Plan is:

I will start with 15BI at NL10, as you can see I will reload if I lose 5BI at NL10
and this because I play on ipoker (pokerstats not tracked, I want to reach gold status to watch the whole series). The problem on ipoker is that, all the NL4 tables are for beginners and i cant join!
I hope to be lucky and do not need to reload!

Also, the bigger the level, the more BI I will need to move there and I will spend more BI for my Shots!

I calculated R-o-R for all NL levels and also for different Bankrolls.
The win-rate I used is 1.5bb/100.

If I reach the NL50 I will also include a cash-out Strategy:

Spoiler

This strategy is not mine I read it in a forum before a long time.

I would like to say thanks to Alleen86 for all the Spreadsheets and all the great work in this thread!
Very helpful!

2nd Homework

Input 3-bet ranges

Spoiler

Iso-raising

When I iso-raise the first think I check is my position, the better the position the looser we can Iso-raise.
Second I check Limper's FtFlopCB stat in my HUD,for players that play fit or fold after the flop we should Iso much wider.
Also I check,If there are any very aggressive players left to act, cause if there is someone that can 3-bet light we have to use a much tighter range of hands for Iso.
As for the stack of my villain, I don't care much except he is shallow(maybe<30BB) or he has a very low FtFlopCb,cause almost every player that limps too much is a very weak player. Those Players don't know that they have to raise when they come in 1st. I don't expect him to know SSStrategy or the difference between Short and Deep play.If a villain has 70% of Ftcb, He will fold most of the times with 100BB or 50BB. Maybe I am wrong but until know this works fine for me. Correct me Pls if I am making a big mistake.

ex. This guy was limping about 55% and folding 70% on the Flop.

Spoiler

IPoker, $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools by CardRunners - Hand Details

SB: $11.14 (111.4 bb)
BB: $14.52 (145.2 bb)
UTG: $9.86 (98.6 bb)
MP: $5.84 (58.4 bb)
CO: $1.42 (14.2 bb)
Hero (BTN): $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 6
2 folds, CO calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, CO calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.95) 6 7 A (2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $0.66, CO folds

I liked the categorization that Alleen86 used and I used the same.
I used almost the same ranges for BTN,but I would like to be a little tighter early cause there are many player left to act, So i removed some hands from MP and CO.

FtFlopCb<50%

Spoiler

MP

CO

BTN

SB

BB

50%<FtFlopCB<70%

Spoiler

MP

CO

BTN

SB

BB

70%<FtFlopCB

Spoiler

MP

CO

BTN

SB

BB

Postflop I will Play according to the part 4 lines if the villain has <50% or he is an unknown.
The bigger the FtFlopCb stat is the more frequently I will Cb, If he is in the 3rd category I will Cb every Flop!
...

Has anyone else used these iso-raising ranges? They seem pretty solid, what do you think W34z3l?

I've been watching the 2 first videos of the serie but since I'm really new at this I wonder if they are good default ranges that I can gradually modify for my own preferences.

it looks ok.
I dont use iso raising ranges but i use a few principles: (i end up isolating an UG limp from MP with J7s, if table is passive)
LOOSEN UP YOUR RANGE
When postflop expectation is high ( we have a good chance to steal postflop)
VS passive opp (low 3bet%, low Cbet%)
VS deepstacks, especially if they have a strong range(we got implied odds)
VS too nitty opp(high Fold to steal%. high fold to Cbet, WTSD<25)
TIGHTEN UP YOUR RANGE
When postflop expectation is low( we encounter difficulties in stealing postflop)
VS aggressive opp(high 3bet%, high Cbet%)
VS shortstack (not much fold equity because Stack to pot ratio is small)
VS not nitty enough opp(low Fold to steal%. low fold to Cbet, WTSD>25)

@ribpoker

1) ... Understood, so is your question answered or?

2) This concept still holds but you can't use it blindly. SPRs are simply estimates in the first place. In other words just because recommended SPR for an overpair is 6 does not mean you can blindly stack off with SPR or 6 against anyone. Vs a huge nit you might be able to get away from your overpair with an SPR of 4 whereas vs a huge whale you might be able to stack overpair with SPR of 20.

So yes, overpair is stronger in a 3bet pot on average as a result of the lower SPR, but we don't want to start thinking that it means an auto-stack-off just because SPR is below a certain amount.

3) Yup, the higher the frequency he will barrel the turn, the less donking makes sense in most cases. We can also consult his fold-to-turn donk stat. Perhaps it is exploitatively high, way higher than his fold-turn-cbet-to-raise for example.

Hello w34zel! Thanks in advance for ur work here! It's really helpful and amazing.
I've a question about your OR chart. Let's see UTG OR - 55+,ATs+,KTs+,QTs+,J9s+,T9s,98s,87s,76s,65s,AJo+,KQo why are these connectors better than A2s A3s A4s A5s?

Hi!

I recently switched from sngs to sh cg, so my post flop game in comparison to cg players is very primitive - cbet almost all suitable flops vs 1 player and etc...

However.. Now that I`m studying w34z3l`s microstakes walkthrough series, I start to look at all things in a different angle.
I`m currently constructing my basic game plan after I raised preflop IP and got called by 1op.
So the questions I`m asking myself to decide what to do (cbet, delayed cbet, check... etc.) are:

  • Flop texture?
  • What did I hit?
  • What type of op?
  • Whats the best play?

So on the question about my op types I categorized all op in 3 categories:

  • Calling stations (LP - low postflop expectation)
  • Fit or Fold (TP, TAG - high postflop expectation)
  • Floaters (TAG, LAG, Maniac - low FtFCB and high FtTCB)

Am I missing something, what questions do you ask yourself when deciding about your game plan?
What is your approach, how do you categorize your opponents?

Thanks

To make the learning process easier, I made an Excel file based on your ranges. These are two screenshots of using the sheet while playing:

You just click on the position you're at and then you can click on open range from that position, or ranges vs opponents from various positions.

The file is working in Excel 2010, and I think it should work in Excel 2007. You have to enable macros! It can be downloaded here.

Hello, I try to download but file not exist. If You still have this Excel file, can You upload it again, please.
Thank You in advance

I've just redownloaded from the link you quoted and the link seems to be working fine. Can I suggest you try again? (Maybe the site was down when you tried earlier)

Maybe it is stupid but it bugs me... What is the explanation for calling from MP/CO/BTN vs UTG with KQs and JTs but not with QJs?

Hi bonecore , thanks for the link
I have the ranges fine attached to equilab but I'm in doubt, for ie, Vs-3b , I can see some hand in blue and others in dark blue . What that means?

Also this one for ie, BTN vs 3b4b in dark blue I see AhAs, AhAc, AsAc, KhKs, KhKc, KsKc, QhQs, QhQc, QsQc, JhJs, JhJc, JsJc, ThTs, ThTc, TsTc
and in "normal" blue I see A9s-A6s, K9s-K6s, Q9s-Q8s, AsKs, AcKc, ATo, KJo, AdKh, AdKs, AdKc, AhKs, AhKc, AsKc

What that means?

What about for example SB vs 3b Call in ligh blue is AJs+, KQs, JTs, T9s, AJo+
and dark blue AdAh, AdAs, AdAc, KdKh, KdKs, KdKc, QdQh, QdQs, QdQc, JdJh, JdJs, JdJc, TdTh, TdTs, TdTc

What that means?

different colours means not all combos
on that page click: Display # combos and you will see ;)

at higher limits we need to know to count combos and stuffs ... so it is important
i have some exercises in my blog, posted as videos

Ok but here is SB vs 3b 4b .. it means I should 4bet all that range ?

https://gyazo.com/ad03972c240d86608fdbbf996609a07b

and BTN vs 3b call
should I call with all this hands? Not 4bet?

Hi, Erevos,
I'm not sure the exact situation you refer to, but in general the answer is dominance, I think.
KQs can dominate a lot of hands, and JTs is likely to be low enough that it becomes the top of the mid-range.
QJs is caught in the middle.

For myself, I don't flat vs UTG w/ JTs either from MP, and from CO QJs and JTs are player dependant fold/call/3Bet (the 3Bet is a bluff)
Anything below is a definite fold.

My ranges are quite dependant on any notes I have on the other player, stats (if any) and relative stack sizes.

Cheers,
VS
