SB: $11.96 (119.6 bb)
BB: $12.14 (121.4 bb)
UTG: $5 (50 bb)
MP: $11.41 (114.1 bb)
CO: $19.65 (196.5 bb)
Hero (BTN): $20.60 (206 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with A K
UTG raises to $0.30, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.90, SB folds, BB raises to $1.90, UTG folds, Hero raises to $4, BB raises to $12.14 and is all-in, Hero calls $8.14

Flop: ($24.63) 9 2 T (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Turn: ($24.63) J (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($24.63) 9 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Preflop: Decided to 3bet for value vs the half stack, but then the BB 4betted. I don't think I can fold, so it's call or 5bet. He is unknown. I decided to 5bet and call a shove.

I would be folding vs BB cold 4b, you are 120bb deep with him and IMO he is almost never cold 4betting here as a bluff.

If it was BTN vs SB vs BB, I'd do the same. However, the fact he's cold 4betting after you've 3bet a UTG raiser (yes he's only half stack but his range is still solid), BB's raise is so strong here. Even if you put a him on (QQ+, AK) you're crushed. Even if you were 100BB deep this would be a fold, but definitely at 120BB deep.

I'm not sure we should write off the option of calling getting over 3:1 in position.

I'm not 5betting though because as Castle93 says, he's really strong when it's vs an UTG open.

Given that, we're calling with the intention of flopping TPTK but then NOT trying to pile in stacks across three streets. If the 4bet was bigger I'd say fold, but we're getting such a good price we need to see a flop.

I like the idea of calling and play IP. But want to ask what hands are we raising here?
