That's a nice fold otr, he propably got scared of the drawy board, could have hit set otf or two pairs. TPTK certainly does not give you a room to gamble on that river.

i think the question is what do we do ott when we get donked by a reg here ? it is a 3bet utgvsmp pot and he is donking 2/3 of the pot..we are not going to be ahead here much of the time with our tp..

River fold is good, but as Tinsley15 pointed out the real question is should we call OTT. I don't see many hands that we beat in villains range.

I do not like the preflop play. Would call of there are passive players behind and none is squeeze happy.
When we face a donk, there should be a solid reason to stay.
River fold is ok.

Pre-flop is pretty standard with this hand and versus this opponent, so I don't agree with nitrol.

As stated here, turn and river are the nasty spots. I hate that turn donk, and I would like to know his donk stats in general. If he has been donking some top-pairs or so, he could be doing it with TP now, too. Or if he is bluffy guy, I think call is standard.

With stats given here, I'd still treat him as unknown and would give up on turn.

Standard play is the biggest enemy of your winrate.

Against a somewhat thinking tight player i'd rather 3-bet AA/KK+some bluff combos and cc w/ AKs, QQ. You have position and you don't isolate yourself against a stronger range.

3betting a UTG looks very strong.

3betting a UTG open looks very strong.

It is NL10 and 3 bettingthis hand vs UTGis not that standard. Call is the standard pay here.

It is NL10 and 6max. IMO 3betting UTG with AKs is pretty standard. I would 3bet this. I have heard that people tend to call AK vs UTG more often but haven't heard a good reason to do so. If this is not standard, I want to know why. :f_rolleyes:

I have watched it and I watched the You Raise, I 3-bet video again to revise. In this video his MP vs UTG 3bet range is KK+, AKs, A5s-A4s, KJs, AJo, KQo. So according to this AKs is a 3bet? He doesn't recommend to 3bet AKs OOP (from sb/bb).

In his thread it says:
MPvsUTG KK+, A5s-A4s, AJo, KQo

Why... If we have aggressive people behind, that makes it better for us to call. They squeeze light, we print $$ with AKs.

It used to be really bad to 3bet AK MP vs UTG two or three years ago as people weren't calling 3bets oop but that's not the case anymore. I think for nl10 vs unknowns 3bet/fold works fine as standard these days. From here we can start using information to decide which one is better - for example if villain folds a lot to 3bets or he is very nitty from UTG we want to just call.

As for the hand, donk turn is strong here and I think you should fold. Your percieved range is very strong and he won't be doing that with weaker hands. River fold is fine.

/I know I always say donks are strong in these threads but the thing is... they usually are. The only exceptions being flop donks and half pot or smaller donks on later streets./

If I call I believe that blinds call, that's not good for AKs, but if I call someone could squeeze too, depends of the players on my left. I would try to mix with AK in that spot
