Is calldown OK after his turn 3-bet? It was one of first hands so he was unknown for me.

I like the hand as played v unknown.

Looks like villian hit a set, but 99, monster draw, or 8x would also explain play.

"...and then I was like "?", and they were like "..." and then it all came down to the cheese making method. Needless to say

Ye this is good, he could also 3-bet some 2 pair against which you always have enough odds to suck out.

Nice hand. You can't fold an overpair against an unknown here. As mentioned above you even have outs to improve to.
