1. Its NL2 even nits splash around from time to time.
2. Hes not Autorefilling, maybe he is normally a shortstack and stacks-off normally wider than KK+
3. Maybe in his stats you are rly aggressive and hes willing to 4bet-stackoff against you wider than KK+
4. Its a cashgame, we can affort to gamble. It would be closer and sicker of a spot if it was a tournament or SNG...
5. "Cant be in a heater if you fold. Its a prime core rule of heatership." :f_thumbsup:
If you take these things into cosideration stacking-off is ok.

All in all every decision in this spot is close to 0EV, so taking time to evaluate it isnt necessary. To quote Mersenneary's Ebook:
“Good poker thinking cares
about what you should spend
your time on.”

Not 3 betting is an option.

Not this guy. We have decent sample on him.

According to his stats he is not stacking wider than KK+.

Almost nobody is adjusting at NL2 this good.

We can afford to gamble cause it is a cashgame ? No. I would say we can't afford to gamble since it is POKER. Not roulette ;)

In general yes, but if we can afford to run into downswing instead of running into a heater (= we play a lot of hands/month and we have big enough roll).

Epic, oldie but goldie. Easy fold especially in this case. Take a look at this:

Yeah it's funny compared to nowdays vids. But at microstakes, which are still rock gardens, especially at zoom, it is imho still the right overfolding adjustment ;)

@msnek,
Yeah, sure, go ahead and fold Aces preflop too, since you dont want to lose money from rake when the opponent has the same hand...
What I was saying is that stacking off is understandable and doesnt make you less of a decent pokerplayer. Folding obviously isnt bad too, but its not like a 100% necessary. Its like 0EV either way in this ->extreme<- situation. And ofc if you think 900 hands is enough for a valid 4bet stat you obviously are insane _o:
Sure, the arguments were jokes, but the argument of "oh, im folding kings because he has aces" is as much of a bs as they were.

top kek

I love that "how to be a hilariously bad nit" video you linked. Even in 2010 that seems kind of terrible, let alone now.

lol, good one ;)

What you mean by term "decent player". We are not interested in such broad terms. We just wanna know what play in this particular spot is best for our long term.

I believe its not. I believe folding has better EV in this spot.

I know we need bigger sample to be more sure. But you are not argumenting for best play just according to the stats. It is just one of the fields we use for our educated guess about what the best play is. Based on stats solely we can guess it is somewhat more likely than not his 4bet range to be KK+. But if we add population reads it is even more likely.

Sure, the arguments were jokes, but the argument of "oh, im folding kings because he has aces" is as much of a bs as they were.

Ok dude sorry. But I really couldn't tell if u were just joking or not.

Yeah well if somebody would play every spot against anyone like he is explaining in the vid it would be indeed "how to be bad nit video". It is up to viewer tp use his brain and understand this play should be perdormed against other huge nits. And there are dozen of huge nits still nowdays. Especially microstakes. Especially at fast tables.

A rock in micro limits is not splashing around money and this assumption does not mean we can gamble...
Vs such a rock we can just call preflop and let him play with all his 4-5%...

I think since you have sample, you can filter his showdowns and see what he shows up. If he never shoved up weak after 4bets, by weak I mean AK, then maybe fold is good.

A 5bet isn't getting called by QQ here.

how do you know that? Maybe he calls even AK. THat he is nit does not mean that he folds after he invested much money.

And also - does he 4bet QQ? we have to find out.

going by your comment i very much doubt u played poker in 2010. at least not beyond nl2 or nl5.
the concept in that vid is very much applicable today too, and i see regs """""getting coolered""""" like OP here every single day.
