partypoker - $0.04 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 166.25 BB (VPIP: 40.00, PFR: 33.33, 3Bet Preflop: 16.67, Hands: 31)
SB: 130.75 BB (VPIP: 27.96, PFR: 18.28, 3Bet Preflop: 9.68, Hands: 95)
BB: 153.5 BB (VPIP: 20.06, PFR: 8.63, 3Bet Preflop: 2.27, Hands: 2,653)
UTG: 125 BB (VPIP: 20.59, PFR: 14.84, 3Bet Preflop: 6.07, Hands: 1,397)
MP: 124.25 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
Hero (CO): 125 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♦ K♣

fold, MP calls 1 BB, Hero raises to 5 BB, fold, fold, fold, MP calls 4 BB

Flop: (11.5 BB, 2 players) A♣ 7♣ 5♦
MP checks, Hero bets 6 BB, MP calls 6 BB

Turn: (23.5 BB, 2 players) 4♥
MP checks, Hero bets 14 BB, MP calls 14 BB

River: (51.5 BB, 2 players) 2♣
MP checks,

Vilain is unknown, looks weak considering limp pre.
Pre Flop: After limp I raise normally to 4BB, this time I did raise to 5BB as I think weak opponent will call anyway.

Flop: I decided for 1/2PS bet to have him call his week pairs or gut shots. I'm not so scared of FD having K of club. If I had no Kc I would bet 3/4

Turn: I think nothing has really changed so I play the same line as on Flop.

River: Now I think what to do after his check. My experience says that weak guys often set trap and slow play river. I'm thinking between checking back and min bet less than 1/2 PS. Possible flush completed. 2 is also not that great card as 33, A3, 34 hits straight and there is A with all low cards on the board and I expect him to hold Ax with low kicker often. So i tend to check rather than bet.
Thank you for your comments.

I think you can bet a bit bigger on the flop. I think villain still has FDs in his limp calling range. River 2c is not good for us and I think checking behind is fine. You can also bet something like 1/3 to get calls from weaker hands and fold to a raise.

The main thing to consider is : will AQ,AJ, AT call another bet and how big should I make it.
If you are afraid, you can always take the safe route and check. But if villain is passive, bet/folding is better.

thanks a lot or comments. AQ, AJ, AT i expect to raise pre rather than limp/call. Therefore my thinking was it might be a flush, small pair e.g. 33 and small Ax.
And so more towards checking behind.

We have only 3 hands on villain and cannot say for sure that he is openraising AQ, AJ, AT...
As I said above, you can always check and see. And make a note.

B/f river. U are playing against a villain who seems to be weak. These are spots where u can bump your winrate.

I would also bet bigger on flop and turn. Villain shows all the signs of weaker player. He won't fold Ax. Will he sometimes have a better hand? Sure but his overall range has alot more weaker hands.

On the 3 hand sample. Do not post stats if irrelevant sample size.

Bet small for thin value. If u saw him playing tricky, then checking back is good.

I am betting here 1/3 pot and folding if he raises.

yes, around 33% pot seems really good.

If bet too low you can induce a bluff. 35-40% is ok,imo.

Dont see villain raising bluff without a flush here.

What about trying to represent one?

then they would fire first out of position... and not being exposed to a checking back from hero w a bluff.

I see your point but mine also stands. The line- xc flop, xc turn, donk river is for value at the micros. But with what will you exploit small blocking bets on river?

Even w the flush itself. if villain is nit in calling river bets when behind, betting small is the way to extract value w better hands.

I agree. General rule is vs passive player - bet/f. vs active player- check.
