That said, yes. Its a good spot to take negative edge.

In this case u presented: any ace, any king, and broadways in general I would be doing the same move.

I would only take a negative edge if you are first in. Also it’s likely that the average UTG+1 player at the $2,5 stakes will shove to tight in spots like this and than your call is even more –ev.

OMG, missed that shove from UTG. I thought she was the first in on the hand. Calling is no good, them. Finding a spot to shove is way better.

If it was a first in spot it wasn’t a negative edge spot with A7o.

Would never fold this. His range should be wide too cause of his stack so any A is good and why wait.

This is definitelly not good. We can still wait. We must not forget that we are on early position and that behind us is still a lot of players that can overcall and because of that we need better hand to call with than if we where on the BB or late positions. 4bb is not so small stack that has no folding range. So I definitelly disagree that any A would be call here.

But at the same time we must not forget that this is turbo tournament and blinds increase on 5min. so we don't have as much time to get better hand than we would have if tournament would be slower. I still prefere to take slight negative edge here if blind level will increase before we get to BB or when we are on blinds. In that case I prefere to take slightly negative edge even when I am not first in.

Also with less than 6bb I don't expect opponents will be much tighter than they should be when it cames to open shoves. I think that recreational players will open shove even any A and more off-suited Kx hands than just KTo+. But in general I expect at least the range that HRC give in that spot (30.0%, 22+ A2s+ A3o+ K6s+ KTo+ Q8s+ QTo+ J9s+ JTo T8s+ 98s 87s ). Also I saw some regs that open shove wider than that.

But at the end I am new to that format and really apriciate all of the feadbeck. Thanks guys for your comments!

In this situation, the max I would wait is me on BB. Thats the last chance for a reasonable holding, and ll be going broke w any two there.
