K9s - vs maniac

I do not like to play this hand vs that guy. Most of the time he will try to play for stacks and our hand is way off...

I'd fold this pre at 6-max, nevermind full ring.

fold turn really? I understand why we should fold pre and on the flop. But why fold the turn?

That hand would be a standard fold but I can see why you wanted to play it. I would probably play it vs 80/40 too... Postflop is more tricky and it depends on villain very much. Does he usually cbet a lot and use pot size bets? Is he passive or aggressive postflop? Have you seen him shove with draws, bad made hands or for example TP in this kind of board?

Well, it really depends on your own reads. If you're sure you're ahead most of the time you should call. It just feels weird to call 4x pot shove with 2p which isn't even top2p on a possible straight board.

Probably fold the flop. There are a ton of bad runouts on this board, villain is going to bet the turn a large % of the time (and getting to showdown cheaply is going to be hard), your equity isn't that great vs. his entire range, and you aren't closing the action.

I thin on this kind of flop u can fold. U are deep but board sucks for u. You can have much less outs than you think quite often.

Big overbet push and you have a weak hand - fold.

wp if sb & bb don't squeeze much pre. Flop call is marginal because very hard defend many turns this turn is the best for us would snap call vs. such maniac he shows up w. a lot draws some Kx worse twopair etc.

but preflop & flop very borderline

I understand why u wanted to play that hand vs such villain... maybe u can call against him. Still, flop should be a fold imo.

U said u have about 200 hands on this villain. Is he playing that aggressive too often posflop?

Depending on this villain and his previous postflop play this could be a snapcall.

yes he was definitely throwing money around. You get a lot of LAGs at NL5 that slow down considerably on the flop if they miss, this guy was not like that.

I think on the flop I should probably be folding, but on the turn I can see him shoving like that with top pair or even middle pair. I think he could also play draws like that.

If so, the call ott was good. And he having a strong hand should be considered variance (since he also do this play w lots of weaker hands).

What he was holding this time?
