ok this is the story:

on my left a solid ss player i have seen a few times and i know will only reraise with good hands, on my right is someone i see for the first time whos just joined the table and posted blinds out of position.

im on the button, the solid guy is BB and the other one is mp3 in a full ring.

and i am holding AJs
ON MY RIGHT: $4
ON MY LEFT: $4.2
I HAVE 8 OR 9

all fold, the new guy checks, i raise .55

rock shoves new guy shoves

what do i do? how do i assert whether i am priced in or not?

Against the shortie you're clearly behind. Against unknown, you don't know, but AJ is usually not good.

Just fold. =) I'd shove AK or JJ+
