I think you got the terms mixed up. A squeeze is when Player A raises, Player B calls and Player C makes a 3b.

I think what you made charts for is isolation raising? It's too much for me to look throug it all, I def don't recommend isolating 100% on the sb, but we can go more into detail about why and so on in the next coaching.

Yes, that's true, you're right. I was indeed about to suggest to talk about Isolating and Squeezing. I think to distinguish these and know what to do in both situation, will help me greatly in my decisions at the tables

Hey man, interesting data and good analysis about the BBvsSB situation, hope your postflop game crush the SB.

On question about your charts is in the SBvsCO squeeze, why would you add those 93o,83o,73o,92o,82o and 72o ? I believe you are doing this to balance a little bit your range concerning your bluffs, and that's ok, but, don't you think that adding low suited connectors in this situation os more profitable ?

I told earlier here that I was trying to start my own blog and participate on the 'Get Rich or..' challenge, but I started working and am really struggling with my hours in order to get enough study and on table action. I want to start by playing SNGs and they time constriction in them just makes me feel unmotivated. Hope I can work around this.

This week I believe it's Carnival here in Brazil and everything just stops, so I think I'll be able to focus on my study and play until thursday, lets hope this motivates me and gets me on the right track on starting my blog and participate on the challenge.

Thanks for your comment, much appreciated. I will dedicate 1 or 2 coaching sessions on my Iso and Squeeze strategy with Vonki. The data is quite OK but some are made out of assumptions. Indeed, as you said, junk hands like 92o, etc. are OK iso-hands provided your opponent folds more than 67% and you should be quite sure about this. I made my graphs out of my own imagination and experience what 'kind of helps' and therefore, will find out where I could Iso and Squeeze with by default I agree that I may should have taken these SC more into account, thnx for the tip

I can imagine, study is important man. Next year I will be studying as well and believe me, that will be then priority, also over blogging and playing poker. I really enjoy the game and the theory behind it. Right now I'm in the position to dedicate an extensive amount of time to poker because I work for a company where active behaviour isn't rewarded. That is absolutely no problem for me and will happily stay passive

I like the idea of trying to combine study and poker. You may want to reward the day with a session of poker
A blog is indeed nice, it gives really valuable information and it's stored. Before I just did many things by heart but this is waaay more effective

Mental Struggles

During my reading of the book 'The Mental Game of Poker', I try to be more aware of my mental game in poker. I just finished the first chapter of the book. Not that I couldn't read more. The reason why I just read 1 chapter is to get comfortable with the improvements I need to implement with the game. The first improvements I implement are the following.

These are not bound breaking new theories. However, I have been doing these preparing improvements and while comparing my weakest 2 previous games I discovered 2 hands with major flaws, which you can see below (in spoiler).

Obviously, the first hand was a major mistake. So I was thinking why did I make this mistake? I know the math at least a little bit and would know that I only hit the flush 1 in approx. 4 times and with an all-in I get a 2:1 at best. The discovery of this mistake didn't take long:

- I am often tired because I do many things before I play poker. I go to gym, arrange appointments, clean the house, call and chat during poker and more things. Therefore, I need to manage my time better.

I also know that knowing 'Time Management' is the issue, it isn't enough. I know I am a hard worker but I have more trouble with Time Management itself. That is:

As for the BRM math, it is indeed a little less applicable at the micro stakes IMO. BRM math becomes more serious when you want to make your job out of it. However, if you want to pursue a (side)career in this field, you should become at least comfortable with these topics. Not that you say later on 'oh sh*t, I have never considered I should measure my work in some way'

I think i would rather raise the KT hand pre, villain seems rather agressive but it is a small sample thoug.

U playing the regular tables or zoom? I PLAY zoom myself but it seems rather nitty with a lot of multitablers. Guess the regular tables are better for winrate?

I play regular tables. A raise could be argued here as well indeed. The hand is actually not good enough to call.
I indeed think that reg tables are good for winrate and zoom is good for your default play. It depends what is your preference and what you think you should work on. If you can stay very disciplined, I would suggest to play more regular tables. However, when you can go a bit loosy goosy then perhaps zoom would be better for the moment. At the small stakes those few bucks wouldn't matter anyway so just sit somewhere where you think you will get the most potential out of yourself

Unfortunately, this week was not a very intensive week for playing sessions. Reason is because my HM2 failed and could not connect to my SQL (or the other way around). I always carry out all steps HM2 provides but somehow it completely shuts down. At least I saved the log files and hope I can implement it back in so I do not lose all my data.
I just wish there was a way in which my SQL would not suddenly not connect or at least provide me steps what I can do every time I start HM2 to avoid this problem.

Mental Game of Poker

However, that I couldn't play that much last week, doesn't mean I haven't worked on my game outside the tables. Last week was very intense with regards to learning my mental game in poker. I have uploaded my work on Dropbox, which you can download here.

The file basically goes through my flaws, a questionnaire about myself and a 5-step model to improve my mental game. The great thing why this is so helpful is that I can write this down and do not have to constantly think about my flaws in which I can concentrate more on improvements. For example, just looking only on the first page and we see my major flaws as the following:

- Not handling bad beats well
- Not handling aggressive fish well
- Not too much aware of my flaws

I can improve every game by doing the following:

- Looking to my flaws
- Injecting logic (especially when entering ‘big pots’)
- Don’t get distracted (phone, Internet, etc.)
- Remember my strength: I feel the tilt only for a short time! Next day it’s over already

Time Management

May I thank the writers to write about me on the forum I of course cannot leave this thing unnoticed. My Time Management may be the biggest general point that I need to improve. I already have stated this before. However, right now I have my Gmat coming up next month to secure a place at a certain University. I need to find a way in which I can study for this as well as making some time for playing this game. Therefore, I have given myself the following 'resolutions' (as The Mental Game of Poker state it):

- Lower my amount of comments on the Poker Forum
- Play not more than 1 session of poker per day
- Start on time learning for my Gmat and more importantly, when I feel the most fresh as this is the most important assignment atm
- Break down making notes for my coaching sessions

Coaching
Even though I haven't had the time to review the coaching sessions, I may thank Vonki once again to open my eyes to the topics 'Isolating' and 'Squeeze'. Totally different subjects in which I have never really considered the importance of these. I also now understand why w34z3l hasn't provided the ranges we could use in an Isolating situation:
The ranges I have provided earlier in this thread may be OK, however, this is based on incomplete information on villain and table dynamics.

Even though I haven't reviewed the coaching, it is this what I have remembered as a conclusion during our discussion. I like the idea that the basics may be right but we can develop things waaaaay further It gives me also more energy to keep working on it and improving as well.

PokerStrategy website
A small thing on the PokerStrategy website. Could it be that the site faces some loading difficulties? Over the last 3/4 days I constantly try to surf around the website but get constantly disconnected. I try using my work wifi, home wifi and my 4G. If this is not the case by many here, then I would say it is somewhere here on our end (I just love Thailand with its advanced technology sometimes )

Hey man, took and overall look at you file and seems like a good approach to solve mental problems.
I myself started something similar but simpler. Defined mistakes I am making in order of urgency and am trying to solve them one by one on each week.

I believe that focusing myself in only one issue is more profitable than trying to pay attention at all of them at the same time.

Too bad you couldn't play enough this week, but the work away from the table is just as important.

Thanks for your message. Indeed, you may start smaller, that is fine. The most important thing is the issue to work on. This can be a large thing, which requires a bit more work but it can also be a small thing, which you only need to master. You will notice this when being tilting and you are still able to make certain right decisions. Those decision then, you master.

I also work step by step and will not make more 1 assignment per week. Perhaps in the coming weeks I will make less as well since I will need to study for my Gmat.
In the next days I will get HM2 having a Remote Session so they will fix this. I also will record this with OBS. I am also thinking of putting this in my thread so everyone can download this and perhaps use it as well.

I believe opinions vary but I believe I could have folded this hand pre. Am not sure of course but I have my reasons to believe I could fold this one.
