Thanks man
Just a short update for the last 2 weeks. Profits are pretty nice
I’m still putting in a lot of theory work. Atm most of the time watching Vids. And analyzing my database how my opponents play there hands in different spots with different sizings. Luckily there there are endless leaks in their games and I want to exploit every single one of them with perfect ranges ♦
25th Week summary 25.01.16 – 31.01.16:
Played hands: 7130
Played hours: 47
Studied hours: 16,5
Poker time: 63,5
Profit: 1267
Total challenge Profit: 8840
26th Week summary 01.02.16 – 07.02.16:
Played hands: 5918
Played hours: 32
Studied hours: 22
Poker time: 54
Profit: 1701
Total challenge Profit: 11808
I recently got this Question from a follower:
“Hi,
I follow your blog and I rail your tables on Winamax.
Can you describe me your steps in your progression In HU games? What helps you a lot (UhlvarEquity, playing a lot….)? I’m a reg (NL20), but I don’t know what to do to be better… I think I’m better than the field but I don’t think to be able to beat NL50.
If you can help me, it’s cool be really cool.
I wish you good luck on your tables!!
Thank you and have a good day!”
Hey man! Thx for your question. First thing wich is reeeeeaaaaly important in HU is gameselection. For example HU on Winamax is extremly high (smth like 20bb/100) which means its not enough to have an edge over your opponent u have to literally crush his soul to be profitable. Which means especially in the beginning u just have to play very weak opponents only. But make sure that u still work very hard on your game and exploit your opponent in every way.
My opinion is that fish and regs have the same leaks. The only difference is the severity and the quantity of those leaks. While a fish maybe has 50 leaks compared to 5 leaks of a reg it always comes down to calling or folding to much or value betting/ bluff betting too much or to little.
So if you are stuck for several time just tighten up your table selection and use more time for studying till u are profitable again.
Second the biggest mistake I see in peoples game is that they DO NOT APPLY knowledge they gained. People are often very smart in hand or theory discussion but they just don’t do it at the tables. For example many people know about the concept of autoprofit. But the are not betting in situations where they have autoprofit. Poker is a Sport. Never forget that. And Sports need training. It’s like u would go to a personal trainer and get a training plan and then to a nutritionist getting a diet plan. Is that enough to get an awesome body? Of course NOT. U have to get up your ass and do that stuff otherwise nothing will change.
And its the same when it comes to poker. The most profitable players are not the ones which accumulated the most knowledge. The most profitable player are those who APPLY most of there knowledge. And that is where u should spend most of your time on.
How can u do it? A very effective method I found is creating filters in my Database the show me were a do not apply the stuff I learned. Means I go through my filters and look for mistakes in my game everyday and because of that I train my brain to do the right stuff until its automated and perfected. Since I do that my winrate skyrocketed. I made a short video tutorial about that topic:
It’s not very elaborate but it shows the basic stuff ♦ Please comment and like if u wanna see more of that stuff in the future & don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel and this blog that u can my stuff about self improvement in the future.
Questions and feedback are always welcome!
