SB: $7.38 (46.1 bb)
BB: $21.48 (134.3 bb)
UTG: $17.32 (108.3 bb)
MP: $16.36 (102.3 bb)
CO: $16.57 (103.6 bb)
Hero (BTN): $23.02 (143.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 7 9
2 folds, CO raises to $0.48, Hero calls $0.48, SB folds, BB calls $0.32

Flop: ($1.52) 8 9 9 (3 players)
BB bets $0.16, CO folds, Hero raises to $1, BB raises to $2.16, Hero calls $1.16

Turn: ($5.84) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $3.20, Hero calls $3.20

River: ($12.24) K (2 players)
BB bets $5.50, Hero???

Preflop: My standard call.

Flop: Vs BB's donk, I decided to raise for value. Could make it a bit bigger, I believe. But then he raised. Now I pretty much have a bluffcatcher, but I can't fold at this spot, I believe. 88 and better 9x beats me.

Turn: I hit an OESD now and think I can't fold. Not sure what to do with just a trips, but I believe folding would be hard, too.

River: Didn't hit a straight and not sure what to do vs his bet. I need to be good in 24% of cases. Since he can have some weirdly slowplayed QQ and AA, maybe some worse trips and 8x or weirdly played AK (but that's probably too optimistic), I believe calling is fine.

CO: 25/24/54 (VPIP/PFR/H)
BB: 55/27/11 (VPIP/PFR/H)

Why do you think you have a bluffcather?

Because I don't see him playing like that for value with worse. Maybe it's weird to call trips a bluffcatcher, though, I don't know. What do you think about the play and what would you do OTR?

Same here. Easy calldown.

If you had A9 we could consider to shove river.

Snapcall, and +1 love it as played.

55/27/11 villain is easily playing this line with many random hands. Raising again on the flop would be overplaying and more likely to push the villain off his own overplays (TT, JJ, 8x, preflop-slowplayed bigger overpairs) than extract value from them.

Really if you wanted to be streaky and go for thin value, the place for the raise is the river on this runout. Let the villain hang himself then provide him with a bit more rope. Depends on the villain though.
