You should not feel like a fish. Imo you play well if you play the way you tell people to play in hand discussion forum. Just remember that poker is a volume game - even 100k hands is not that big of a sample. So if you are braking even for many K hands its ok, the graph will go up as long as you play more.

Yup, that is true.

Today I played only 3 tables and it helped me to concentrate. I managed to play my A-game very long and I played many hours today. I feel like I played very well but poker gods just were not with me. I'm running 200bb under EV today in little bit over 1k hands. It is not fun that my good play was not rewarded but shit happens :) I'm planning to hit a huge upswing tomorrow :f_biggrin:

Today has been once again a very very good day ... :pcuser:

I have been playing great. I'm super happy with myself. I managed to make awesome results in my first session. BUT BOOOOOM now I'm running 150bb below EV from today Played agaist one 100/50 maniac, it was fun but he had awesome luck :) Lost 2x 100bb to him. First time he rivered trips vs my AA and second time he rivered backdoor straight against my 2 pair.

In the end I managed to bust him :fuckyeah:
But he had lost most of my money already to other players

This week was good. Nothing to complain. Except I can't connect to 888 at the moment :f_rolleyes:

Week 24
Hands 1591
Profit +$24.90
Bankroll $261.09

My plan is to take a stab at NL10 when my bankroll is $320 and my winrate at NL5 is over 3bb/100 in over 60k hands. This time my shot will be only for 3 buy-ins so I don't end up losing 8 bin again :)

I have recently watched more videos and participated in coachings. And I have played only 3 tables.

I have been doing great lately.

This month I have played 8k hands with 12bb/100h winrate. I'm on profit from NL5 with 2bb/100 winrate in 40k hands. My river call efficiency is better. My SB winrate is better. My blue-line is going up. I hope that this is not just a temporary upswing :roto2:

I also participated in that microstakes 40k hand challenge but I feel I'm not going to complete it. As you can see my weekly volume is somewhere around 2k hands. I have been doing great when I started playing only 3 regular tables. I maybe start playing 4 again but that might fck up my game.

So far in the challenge I have played little over 1700 hands with 34.3bb/100 winrate.

Hello,

I've seen you post a lot in the hand discussion forum so I thought I'd check out your blog :)

Nice month ! I wouldn't worry about volume, it's better to play your A game on 3 tables than to make mistakes with 4 ;) You can do a session with 4 every now and then when you feel good, and you should get used to it after a while.

I agree with you that I shouldn't increase my volume just for the sake of one challenge. I rather play 3 tables and play very good :)
I think I can try 4 tabling again after a while and I think it is going to go ok. I have actually played 3 tables zoom or 6 tables regular at some point but from time to time I found my self in a spot where I had to hurry to make decisions. I don't know how much it affected my game but I feel like my decisions then were not as good. Not that I play 3 tables I really can think properly and exploit villains better.

How is your poker going? Do you have a blog? =)

I'm at the same point actually, I add a 4th table from time to time because I used to play with 4 (the optimal compromise between observation and volume imo).

I used to have a blog but it was on the French version of pokerstrategy, from NL2 to NL10. But I stopped playing 2 years ago :f_mad:
I'm starting again in NL10 with ~30 caves, hopefully for good this time ! I'm going to travel soon and move to another continent so if I do all that without finding excuses to play less, then I'll consider that I'm definitely in to crush and I'll probably open a blog here too :)

For now I'll just post in the hand discussions and on interesting blogs :)

Okay :)

Today was not so good. Lost 4 buy-ins. 100vpip fish managed to throw me out of my game and I didn't stick to my plan. Gonna get my money back tomorrow :f_biggrin:

Another week has passed. I had a very good run at the beginning of the week and very bad one at the end. Pretty basic. What comes to my 40k hand challenge, I was up 40bb/100 in 2k hands but now it is only 5bb/100.

Week 25
Hands 2872
Profit +$20,79
Bankroll 281,88

I really lost this week but apparently there has been a calculation error last week. I do not know what has happened but my bankroll is bigger than I expected :) Maybe I have used € instead of $ or something. I added the missing part to this weeks winnings.

My volume has been small this week so nothing special to mention.

Week 26
Hands 1336
Profit +$9,45
Bankroll $291,33

I know I'm not gonna complete that 40k challenge but so far I have played 4425 hands with 7.94/100 winrate.

According to my bankroll management I should be playing NL10 soon. (well not that soon, 15k hands to go and winrate must be over 3/100 at NL5, but my bankroll is close) :)

And I'm gonna get 20$ worth of rakeback next week :)

Winrate 10.5BB / 100hands

I don't know actually. There was some bad play and a lot of bad luck.
In one hand I played vs mega fish, I hit top pair (9) with my 98s and I just bet very big OTF and OTT because I know he doesn't have anything and he likes calling. Well, I was basically right. That guy called my big bets with A2s meaning he had only A high and ofc he hit it OTR. Then some 2pair vs set and something like that.

I think there wasn't any major changes in my strategy. Just standard variance. At that point when my graph started to turn up I had a super good run. I felt like I get QQ+,AQ+ very often and I played like 60/50 in 50 hands. But as you can see there are some swings at the beginning. That is because every time I got QQ or KK there was A on the board

One funny thing I have noticed:
I very often play 5 or even 10 winning sessions where I win small, from 10bb to 100bb per session usually. Then I have a huge losing session where I lose like 5 buy-ins and I might do it again the next day. I very rarely have small winning and small losing sessions. I win small and often and then I lose big.

Slow week poker wise. Nothing special to mention. Played around 1k hands and was break even. 20$ bonuses.
I joined that 40k hand challenge a bit later than it started so my 5k hands doesn't count. I'm still 300 hands short to reach my first 5k. At this point I think it is clear I won't manage that 40k :/ I have a lot of studying to do until my summer break starts.

Week 27
Hands 1328
Profit +$20,14
Bankroll $311.47
