We got this Puppy
Today’s grind was strangely similar to yesterday’s, as in it started like shit and the second half of the day went a lot better. Maybe I’m too sleepy in the morning, who knows. The main problem in my game right now is heads-up, since it’s the most unfamiliar aspect of poker for me. Playing shallow and constantly adjusting strategies is not something I’m used to. But I am definitely trying my best.
Day 13

Tourneys played: 113
Won: +$35
ROI: 4.42 %
EV ROI: 0.27 %
ITM: 37.17 %
cEV/tourney: 39
Total April Challenge:
Tourneys played: 711/4000
Won: +$31

EV ROI: 0.28 %
ITM: 38.26
cEV/tourney: 44
I have a bunch of anniversaries and birthdays that have piled up, so I missed yesterday’s grind and most likely will miss tomorrow’s. After that I will hopefully be back on track grinding 100+ games per day. Today I did manage to put in a couple of hours of grind and hit a nice upswing, which is always welcome. Upswings aside I feel like I played really good and am moving in the right direction. Thanks to IvicaIliev77 my mindset and approach to spins have drastically changed recently and it seem to work out nicely.
Day 15

Tourneys played: 48
Won: +$112
ROI: 33.33 %
EV ROI: 30.72 %
ITM: 52.08 %
cEV/tourney: 203
Total April Challenge:
Tourneys played: 759/4000
Won: +$143
ROI: 4.20 %
EV ROI: 2.9 %
ITM: 39.13
cEV/tourney: 54
I have finally returned to grinding and while the results are not the best, I feel like I played decent enough. I’m really confident now that I can beat 7s and they don’t feel intimidating with their swings anymore.
Day 17

Tourneys played: 168
Won: -$126
ROI: -10.71 %
EV ROI: 4.54 %
ITM: 36.31 %
cEV/tourney: 62
Total April Challenge:
Tourneys played: 927/4000
Won: +$17
ROI: 0.37 %
EV ROI: 2.72 %
ITM: 38.62
cEV/tourney: 55
Started the day with a very strong session game wise, but still lost some money due to lack of multipliers. The second half of the grind was also pretty much all 2x and combined with poor focus and a bit of autopiloting the results were expectably quite poor. Still, I had a very solid ITM and I’m confident in my ability to beat these games when notorious Spins variance gives me a break.
Day 18

Tourneys played: 66
Won: -$70
ROI: -15.15 %
EV ROI: -6.69 %
ITM: 39.39 %
cEV/tourney: 2
Total April Challenge:
Tourneys played: 993/4000
Won: -$53
ROI: -1.05 %
EV ROI: 2.02 %
ITM: 38.67
cEV/tourney: 52
Kinda bad day for poker, was working the first half of the day and then was playing very distracted. Days like this are very demotivating, but I know that I need to keep playing and see it through.
Day 19

Tourneys played: 52
Won: -$98
ROI: -26.92 %
EV ROI: -9.49 %
ITM: 34.62%
cEV/tourney: -13
Total April Challenge:
Tourneys played: 1045/4000
Won: -$151
ROI: -2.79 %
EV ROI: 1.43 %
ITM: 38.47
cEV/tourney: 48
So, I haven’t been doing my updates for a while, because I had to finish a lot of work till the end of the month, and also I’ve been a bit burnt out on grinding. I could have grinded late in the evenings just for the volume sake, but that wouldn’t have been the best decision. I had planned to play 4k tourneys in April, but as it turned out, I just can’t grind so much with all the other stuff happening in my life. It seems like even 2k is a bit unrealistic at the moment. I have played a little over 60 hours in April, so I guess I can manage 80 hours in a month if I push myself a bit.
Day 28

Tourneys played: 165
Won: +$231
ROI: 20.00 %
EV ROI: 2.52 %
ITM: 40%
cEV/tourney: 51
Total April Challenge:
Tourneys played: 1210/4000
Won: +$80
ROI: 1.22 %
EV ROI: 1.45 %
ITM: 38.68
cEV/tourney: 49

Today I’ve been studying HU play with IvicaIliev77 and I feel like this part of my game becoming much more solid. I’ve made some major improvement in my HU play this month and it results in a more confident grind, which is great. Even though my April Challenge kinda failed, now I see that I’ve set a bit unrealistic goals for that, so tomorrow I will adjust my expectations and make a new plan for May. The grind must go on!

Yesterday was the last day of the month and in the end I didn’t hit my monthly target by a mile. Now I know what my capabilities are and will try to go for 2k tourneys in May. When I hit that target I will look to increase my volume in the following months. I still need to learn a lot about Spins and get my game to the point where I can comfortably play 4 tables, since around 1k tourneys is a joke in Spins.

I see, but try to keep it in English. This way everyone can understand it, because we moderators can’t understand Russian
