I check behind again. Maybe my isolation is too loose with this trashhand?

Cb with the draw in this case?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($83.90)
BB ($100)
UTG ($171.55)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, 7
UTG calls $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $4, SB calls $3.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $3

Flop: ($13) J, 10, 3 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($13) 5 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks

I'm surely not playing NL100 but I see few mistakes for sure..

with 1 limper you have to raise 5bb! (even if your open raise is 3,5bb), you're just pricing in SB or BB (because they know that UTG will call then very often)

you can sometimes bet flop like this, stats would be nice tho.. but UTG can have PP's and SB PP's+drawing hands

turn is definitely bet (FE+flushdraw+TP draw)

you can answer this question only after figuring out UTG's limping range. Its very important to have an idea how weak he is postflop) obviously your goal is to make him fold to a cbet often enough. The other important thing is players in the blinds.

I would sometimes cbet this flop against 2 unknown. and i would likely check behind on turn, mixing it with betting.

against those I'm folding A7o every single time, you need at least A2s-A5s

50-60 hands

I isolate to 4bb too, my std openraise is 3bb (except from UTG, I raise 4bb from there and from MP I isolate 5bb)

If you raise this small you should play ultra LAG with lot of steals and re-steals :)

if you're tight you want max. value + protection if you're loose you dont mind smaller pots because you will have more often trash hand

But what do you base this on:

4bb = tight
3.5bb = very loose
3bb is VERY loose (i steal loose, but nothing insane)

I mean, i understand the mechanics of blindstealing, and understand you want bigger raises if you're tighter, but you pose a fact on certain raisesizes, how they should go with certain playing styles. Could you explain why exactly 3.5 makes that you have to be loose?

I do raise 3BB on the button + 1BB per limper = 4BB. I isolate pretty loose and want to play postflop a lot of pots vs bad players, therefore I don't need to make huge raises.

just my 2 cents
