I've watched many tv series - first it was Lost (1st season was brilliant, 2nd was decent, others were boring), Prison Break (sth like 12 episodes of 1st season brilliant, then it went downhill and now is just silly). Then I've started to watch Heroes, but the action was developing sooooo slowly... I watched it cause there wasn't anything better to watch at that time.
There are however some series I do like very much:
1. Rome - watched two seasons, one word: masterpiece. Almost no weak points - you just have to watch it and I really mean it.
2. Dexter - my personal favourite. First season is the best I've seen so far, second one was also great, the third one disappointed me a little bit but it turned out good in the last few episodes.
3. House M.D. - a little different category than the others, but it's brilliant as well, I can watch the same episodes over and over.
You're right about house its a great show not because of what happens.. but just the way the character of Gregory was written.
