Suppose both players are 100bb deep. In general, if I open-raise for 3bb with AK and someone calls and then someone re-raises for 12bb. What should I do in this spot? Should I 4-bet to something like 30bb and risk being 5-bet shoved or should i just move all-in by myself? It is difficult to call with AK if he 5-bet shoves. But maybe I save money by not 4-bet shove and instead make a smaller raise. in the scenario where I just shove and I'm up aginst AA or KK he will always call and if he 5-bet me he almost always have AA or KK as well. So what is the right strategy?

Nobody knows, and it depends on position of you, the caller and the reraiser. (And on whether they all got laid lately.)
If unsure and stressed out IRL at the table, then shoving with AK is rarely -EV. But this advice about not thinking too much applies to AK only.
As said above, it depends on a lot of things.
It would be better if you posted some sample hands so we could review them.
I agree it's alot better to post a hand. In general, I like 4betting to something like 30bb, but every hand has its own parameters that should influence our decision.
