Hey guys, I honestly cannot work out why snowie thinks there is a major error in this hand. I raise 99 from MP standard, flop a set, fish bets, I raise, he jams and I call; knowing that his range is mostly top pair with any strength kicker. Any help would be greatly appreciated :f_drink:

What in particular doesn't Snowie like? Can you tell Snowie the ranges (fishiness) of opponents?

I'm not sure, I'm currently using the trial add on version for HM2. It says the raise OTF is wrong, I'm unsure why.

I thought flop raise. I have seen Snowie make different assessment of the value of "protection". Sometimes it is worth a lot more than humans think, and sometimes, like here, it is worth a lot less than we think, at least initially.

You have a set and you have 7 + 10 outs to improve, so flush draws and straight draws aren't as juicy versus you. Letting two more players in is (according to Snowie at least) perfectly okay.

I'd have played it the same, but it's good to be reminded that all options should always be considered. This particular spot is also a reminder that we desperately want the raise to be called (if we make it). Subconsciously, one often begs that people fold when "protection betting". Logically, we want them to make the mistake of calling, at least in position.

Just a thought, and i have no idea if my thought process is good,,, if you would play with good players that is balanced with ranges, bets then maybe a call would be better , but this is NL 5 so nothing wrong with raise,, and i also would play it the same way

The hand is played fine. Snowie probably thinks we don't need that much protection so the call would be more profitable in the long run.
