Not one of the sweetest weeks but I was super busy with a lot of things and played 4 tables at once, which I shouldn't be doing

Nevertheless, I know what I need to work on. I feel sharper by instantly seeing my flaws. The only thing left is keep working on these and when spot a new one, we add it to the A-game journal

The summer challenges with Vonki have been great so far! The good thing about this challenge is that it puts me to work on my game even more than I already did. Sometimes I feel a bit lost in the game but all I need was a little push. For example, at the moment we do some equity training through Equilab with vonki and this really opens up a new perspective for me. We do not need to know the algorithm behind equity anymore. This has already been installed in the program ♦ What we do need to know is our understanding of how much equity you have and why. Vonki is a real helper in this regard as she is open to answer all questions that comes to her For those who aren't already playing and should you be interested in play and learning along the way, feel free to pay a visit to the Summer Challenge thread You would come right on time as there is a new challenge going on at the moment: Guess vonki's bankroll by the end of the week and win prize money up to $50! I'd sure put a random number and aim for the jackpot

Last week we were in the middle of moving to a new house, which was a lot of work. I didn't have any time to play last week nor going to the gym 4 times. The jobs, moving and looking for an apartment came inbetween so I had to postpone a bit. However, I do like to keep on blogging

The PokerStrategy.com Summer Challenges with vonki were great! It's been a great journey and want to thank all of those have participated in the run! Myself, I got a little bit lucky as well down the road

I probably will switch to another pokerroom as well. I am not sure how much I will be playing during my Masters but I intend to keep on blogging to have some stuff on records. I realized that this is quite to my liking so I will probably not stop on this. However, I will keep you all updated with this. Thank you all for reading my blog and stopping by. I have to get used to the interface of 888poker. Sometimes I was just put on Sit out

Anyway, I have been playing a bit more poker last week. I also went to the casino here in the Netherlands (Gosh, I missed that soo much :f_biggrin:) with a huge profit of $400 (-$100 lost on multipoker but +$100 through PS :f_love:). While playing poker at the casino I just saw so quickly what playing style everyone has and I also saw a lot of showdowns that proved how these people even play

I can definitely see that my game has improved by far. It is just not comparable anymore with 1 year ago. I am so happy and grateful that I had the chance to become a better person through the game
Of course I discussed some feedback with my coach Vonki who indeed saw the same as well. Studying poker together with coaching sessions is a perfect combination to improve your game. If you are still looking to improve your game, look no further and stop by Vonki's coaching forum for more information I really promise it's worth it as I have greatly gotten my ROI through her coaching program and still rising! As BrokeSoBroke says on her forum, get her while she's still cheap!!

Not too many hands and still trying to get used to the interface of 888poker However, I have increased to 3 tables now on this site. It's getting better by the week!

Not much info this week. Was pretty occupied of getting my apartment done this whole weekend with all the work around it. This week I will probably go again to Holland Casino so hopefully I can re-confirm my standing in the poker industry :f_biggrin::f_thumbsup: Will keep you guys updated for sure!

I also noticed that people go more all-in when I 4-bet them even though they are active. I also know they go all-in with lesser hands. Shall I go more all-in instead of 4betting? Or would I get too many calls? ♦

Story Written
Had a great story of how the road was for me and how I experienced everything (with some sentimental music :f_biggrin:) but I think I won't make it to write it all again now. However, what I want to say for sure is that it's been a great road as next week my Masters will start and I probably will have less time again for playing. However, I am sure I want to stay in this field of poker. I lean towards playing poker as a side hobby for earning extra income but I am absolutely open for if the time comes that I can shift towards MTTs. However, I still think a side hobby would be most beneficial for me.

The Mental Game of Poker has greatly helped me and although some people can claim otherwise, I have never been so confident in my own emotions as now. From this moment I had some philosophical pieces for nice reading but I got into the moment and forgot exactly what I had written down Hope you forgive me Just the fact that some simple concepts took me long to accept. I think it was fear and ignorance that hold me back. I have travelled a lot in the last 7 years and for the moment I do ask for no more. I believe when one has owned an experience and I agree with many scientists who say that only then someone is wise. Owning an experience. Make your own adventure and love the abstract because it is about perception anyway. How can we really determine the gravity of our commitment towards anything if the only thing we know is how we feel? Every judgment how rational you think it is, it's always based on your emotions. That's why poker is such a wonderful game. Next to decision making, it teaches you to love the abstract. We have incomplete information. That is how it will always be, at least in this universe. Bound by the law of nature. It's fine for us as we are too limited to comprehend the full extend of everything anyway. Again, a simple concept but it took me time to accept this. Accepting the fact that I should not think what others want me to think because it has no use. It's all perception anyway and there is no truth. So why enforce this idea of what other people think may be better than what you think? Questions many people ask themselves many times.

Hey man good post.. with the hand id have to say i would have probably folded to the cbet early and got out of the way.. i feel he was probably on a flush draw and in this situation otr i think its a fold.. he had position on you throughout the hand and landed the possible flush/set/2 pair etc.. anyway thats what id do but again take what i say with a grain of salt.. im still learnibg myself..

Firstly I want to say that this is an amazing and truthful post! A real nice little read and a great reminder, as these concepts are there in my head but are often lost when life is busy and everything passes by so quickly that you don't get time to reflect on yourself.

Lastly, one little question I have. I am going travelling to Asia in the next couple of weeks. I was thinking at the end of my trip of possibly staying in Thailand for a month or 2 staying in one location and focusing on just playing poker. I have heard that gambling is illegal over there but have also seen many players continue to play online poker there with no difficulty and that you have lived there for a while. Just wondering did playing poker go smoothly and do you have any recommendations on security or the trip in general. Maybe we could private message if it is easier.

Indeed, it's a shame we do not have the time to explore ourselves in such way to get optimal and measurable feedback to much higher extends because we are capable of doing that.

Yes, staying in Thailand is easy with playing online poker. As long as it stays ONLINE. Gambling outside is illegal but because you are no Thai citizen you can just play online without any problems. I can even change my stay to Thailand on PokerStars, PartyPoker and 888Poker so it shouldn't be any problem.
