Week 9:

First week playing at NL5 is complete. I managed to play my target of 5,000 hands however I am not too happy with how I played as I felt I was lacking concentration during most of my sessions during the week as my mind was preoccupied with other stuff (Moving House and getting ready to travel)

The last 3 days I spent packing up and cleaning the whole house and on Monday my parents came to pick me up and I left my student house in Brighton for good! Was quiet emotional as University was a fantastic experience filled with amazing memories.

For anyone thats interested in gym and fitness, as this week just gone was my last gym week for a while I decided to test my 1 rep maxes in some of the main lifts and was really happy with the results breaking my personal bests in Bench press and Squat. Here are my maxes I hit this week which will serve as motivation for when I start gyming again in 2-3 months after travelling:

Squat-140kg
Bench Press-120kg
Deadlift-170kg
Overheadpress- 65kg

While travelling to try and maintain a healthy regime I will try and begin incorporating bodyweight and calisthenic exercises into morning routines. I might even begin doing some form of cardiovascular work.... a word that is missing in my current dictionary xD

I now have 5 days at my parents house before I fly to Tokyo this coming Sunday. The excitement within me is rising everyday but there is still a lot of planning and preparation required. The friend I was supposed to be going to Japan cancelled a few weeks ago so for the first 8 days I am travelling all across Japan solo. This is both exciting and scary at the same time as I will feel like an alien alone in such a differently cultured country. After those 8 days I am meeting a friend from University in Tokyo and will be spending 7 days in Tokyo with him before we fly out to Bangkok together.

During my trip my playtime with online poker will be pretty much 0, however I have prepared a big library of books on my kindle consisting of about 10 poker books, 5 trading and investing books and a few mindfulness and personal development books to keep me entertained and developing while I am away.

My poker goals for this final week are relatively small as I am dedicating a lot of time to friends, family and preparation before leaving:

Poker

[*] 3,000 Hands
[*] Post 3 hands in Forums

Personal

[*] Pack everything and Fly away
[*] Hour of Power upon waking at least 5 times this week

I hope everyone has a productive week and best of luck at the tables!
