Hi, could you describe these bounty builder tournaments in detail?

Hi, Q

It's a tournament on pokerstars with 7minute blind levels. I want to know if I had to use turbo or normal for these tournaments because the blind levels are 7 minutes.

Thank you.

Hello.
Is it possible to calculate 3bet/call vs 4bet shove spots?

For practicing 180 mans turbo's with the coach...
Is there a way to make the coach work in chip EV to practice push/fold that is way earlier then final table??

Hi Q,

When analyzing a hand from the final table, do I enter the prize till 9th place or the entire prizepool
e.g 200th place : $15

Thanks.

Hi. Sorry for late response.
I recommend to enter the entire prize pool — all payouts. This way the % ICM results will be out of full prize pool, not % from the top 9 payouts sum only.

Hi. You can use the Chip EV SNG Coach. I think it should do exactly what you are asking.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi. You can choose any value for this setting. The speed parameter is only for convenience, so you can differentiate between similar tournaments. Generally the strategy doesn't depend on the blind growth speed, only from actual blind level (there are very few extreme exceptions out of this rule).

Hi. If you want to compare the EV of 3bet/call strategy vs 4bet shove strategy then the answer is: currently no.
You can figure out both 3bet/call spots or 4bet spots, in ICMIZER 2 but not compare them against each other.
Currently you can only compare push and fold actions in ICMIZER.

As I already asked about the coach in CHIP EV mode ...
this works fine for me in general now ...

but 180 Turbo's I play use ante's ...
Can this be added in the coach since this gives quite a few differences in push and call ranges.

Hi Q,

In the sng coach, it allows us to icmize the question.
Could you possibly split the screen to sng coach and the calculation page so I can compare the ranges I edit in the icmizer calculator vs the sng coach range?

Thanks.

ICMizer gives 2 different answers to exactly the same situation
I copied and pasted the details in and it said 24%
Then I pasted it again and it said 18%
Tried it several times and it changes from 24 to 18%

ICMizer & SnG coach discrepancy
I was doing the SnG coach trial and I saw a few hands that seemed a bit weird so I then put the details in ICMizer afterwards and I got different results
case 1 - SnG coach says they are all pushes but ICMizer says all folds

Case 2 sng says 66 is a push ICMizer says no

Case 3 ICMizer says ATC, SnG says no

Whats wrong, have I mistunderstood or done something wrong?

@slippyjim

During the PLACEMENT QUESTIONS FGS is automatically turned ON.
After that, you can choose to include FGS or not in the SNG coach calculations.

When you ICMIZED the situations, FGS was turned OFF ... This can explain for some part the differences...

I didnt realise that about FGS, but that still doesnt explain it e.g. in the final example you are going to be in the BB next hand so with FGS on you would shove wider than normal so why would you fold an A on the BU?
I'll have another look later but I don't FGS is going to make a massive difference in these situations

Hello!

If I click on the button called "Calculate Nash equilibrium" the program load the ranges of the players, but those ranges are not exactly the same as the ranges, that this site show.

Here is a picture of the difference.

For which calculation should I believe?

Thanks for the advice!

There are always slight differences between ICMizer and Holdemresources I think because they use slightly different methods to calculate, I've noticed this before as well

Hi. We plan to add a chip EV quiz with antes soon. I can't give an exact ETA but its on our list with pretty high priority.

Hi. ICMIZER 2 performs calculations after you set up your hand and press Calculate or Calculate Nash buttons.
When you paste a hand it may set up some ranges, but these ranges aren't really results of Calculate or Calculate Nash functions.
You will get consistent results when you press Calculate or Calculate Nash.
These functions will provide the same results for the same spots (Calculate Nash ignores ranges, Calculate takes all ranges into account).
There can be a difference between Calcualte and Calculate Nash ranges. It is explained in this article:
