SH AJo, CO vs BTN, Calling 3bet

I have been thinking about these spots myself and those are not easy. I think BTN's 3bet range should be quite wide and he can cbet a lot so with 2 overs and backdoor draws I think it should be ok to call on the flop.

Even vs unknown we can defend preflop.
I think folding flop is ok. Though calling can be good as we have a backdoor but still I prefer folding as it will get expensive.

What do you think of folding pre flop? We don´t have the position, but I guess if we fold these hands we would become too exploitable?

COvsBTN we will face a lot of 3bets. This hand is too good to fold vs that range.

BU can attack us wide and we can call with this hand. Often BU can attack with depolarised range vs which we are good.

Fold preflop. It is not that good vs. even 14 % depolarized range. You will rarely have hand better than TP and it would be often dominated.

AJo has 55.5% equity vs my standard 3bet range from BTNvsCO.
We can 4bet this hand too but not defending this hand will probably lead to us being exploitable? What hands are we going to defend then?

OK. It depends how much is the opening range of hero in the CO. In general when OOP against unknown I prefer to defend more suited stuff and hands with better playability.

I agree with Vaskata , fold pre or even 4 bet might be better since AJ plays really bad out of position , as played i would fold flop , even if we hit ace or jack on turn we will face hard decisions if we bet again

Having an aggressive player (good or bad) on the left is simply bad news. You have to tighten up. Just don't play "your range as usual", it will not work.

Ideally, the spot to the left of the aggro is empty - so leave and return to take that seat.

But as played, I can't fault the play. We are simply going to lose the majority of the pots. But the ones we win will be the big ones:) Thinking in terms of "must defend" in (still) small pots, especially OOP, is just silly, except when effective stacks are short.

What about a reraise on the flop?
His play so far is standard for him and it would let us know where we stand?

We don't pay 30% of our stack to "find out where we stand" when we know where we stand. (We have a shit hand.)

If you phrase it as rebluffing it is another story. But, this should be made with hands holding some potential - like a draw.

Yeah forgot about the 3 bet pf. Pot is getting to big for this now.

Me I'dp fold pf. Just don't like AJo its difficult to know were you stand.
