SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A♥ J♥

fold, fold, fold, fold, MP+2 raises to 2.25 BB, fold, Hero raises to 3.5 BB, fold, BB calls 2.5 BB, MP+2 calls 1.25 BB

Flop: (11 BB, 3 players) 8♣ J♣ 9♠
BB checks, MP+2 checks, Hero bets 8.25 BB, fold, MP+2 calls 8.25 BB

Turn: (27.5 BB, 2 players) 6♣
MP+2 bets 13.75 BB, Hero calls 13.75 BB

River: (55 BB, 2 players) Q♥
MP+2 bets 24.5 BB, Hero ?

I feel like just calling PF here we lose value with such a strong hand.
Raise turn?
Fold river?

As requested I have moved your hand.

I don’t 3betting think is bad in a spot like this, but I would make it approximately 5bb in total. This way you have more fold equity.

As played I don’t see a reason to raise the turn on a wet board like this. He can easy lead with a flush or straight. So read less I would even consider folding here, but the river is a fold for sure.

Cheers,

I personally would not 3-bet AJs at this early stage of the Sit and Go. I would have just flat called.

Now we see the flop and it is very "wet". I would have fired a bet too because maybe Hero has here the best hand and he has to protect it. So that´s fine.

Then a very bad turn comes for hero. Someone could have completed a str8 or flush draw and Villain in MP+2 starts betting out.

So, in my humble opinion, your hand is not good here anymore. Time for a fold!

Save your chips for a better opportunity to double up. :f_grin:

I understand,
I usually don't 3bet AJs at all but when I saw his min raise I think just calling makes me lose value.
I agree on the turn seems like an easy fold.

Pre - personally I just call, but if you do want to 3bet you need to raise much bigger, with that tiny 3bt he is never ever ever ever ever folding so its a pointless 3bet
OTF - he c/c your big bet, seems like he has a draw or a very strong hand to me
OTT - just fold to his bet

PRE i would call - if 3bet as said the sizing would be something between 5-6bb.
as played, OTF ok with the bet
as played, OTT I we need to fold as there are many hand combos winning against us and we have not may outs to wish for.

I agree with the above. A good rule to follow is - don't play for stacks (or near stacks in this case) with a one pair hand when this deep.

The only exception would be when you know beyond doubt that your opponent can go to showdown with a worse one pair, or a bluff. In this case we do not have enough info on our opponent to take this line.
