Sorry to hear about your illness. Get well, mate!

And don't worry too much about volume, there are more important things out there.

Thanks man! Always good to hear well wishes.

Day 10

I woke up and still feel sick, but I feel better. It is funny how illness works. I was in a terrible mood all day and I left school a little early and just felt like trash. I think this diet and lifestyle change is still affecting me. I am still constantly battling with sugery drinks. I wanted a energy drink so bad today I could feel the conflict in my body, but it did not win. I look for excuses to not go the gym all day today, but after a short nap when I got home I went and I feel better about it.

I am pretty much eating the same things all day now.

Gym was chest and tricepts today. It was good to move some weights. I feel good, relaxed now and I think the conflict between my mind and my body has calmed down a bit.

Poker I only played a short session of two tables again. This two tabling is going to take some time to get use to. I find I am making some silly mistakes and so I am going to stick to two tables until I don't anymore. However I ran like the sun! In the short time I played I am up a stack or maybe two.

Tommorow is friday and I will post my graph again. I haven't been putting too much volume in, so I will just post a combined graph from this week and last week.

Not much else to say other than I am still kind of sick, and my mindset is still kind of bad. I really hope I can get some confidence back here. I have a lot of fun events planned for the summer.

Song for today:

Day 11 and 12

Today was pretty brutal.

I lost 5 stacks...all of my profit. It just seemed like set up after set up. I was really pissed about it. At the end I just stopped played, when I am pretty sure I lost my last stack due to tilt.

Pacific, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $0.82 (41 bb)
BB: $3.96 (198 bb)
Hero (UTG): $2 (100 bb)
MP: $5.21 (260.5 bb)
CO: $3.30 (165 bb)
BTN: $9.19 (459.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T 9
Hero raises to $0.08, MP calls $0.08, CO folds, BTN calls $0.08, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.27) 5 J T (3 players)
Hero bets $0.20, MP calls $0.20, BTN calls $0.20

Turn: ($0.87) 6 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, BTN bets $0.25, Hero calls $0.25, MP calls $0.25

River: ($1.62) 9 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $1.21, BTN folds, Hero raises to $1.47 and is all-in, MP calls $0.26

Results: $4.56 pot ($0.28 rake)
Final Board: 5 J T 6 9
Hero showed T 9 and lost (-$2 net)
MP showed K Q and won $4.28 ($2.28 net)
BTN mucked and lost (-$0.53 net)

I don't think I had any buissness being on the turn in the firstplace.. it was just so damn cheap. Turn came and he hit his striaght and I hit my 2p. I think I was tilted because I lost a lot of my profit and then lost more profit and called there. Life lessons I guess.

This is the hand that started it I think:Pacific, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $7.57 (378.5 bb)
BB: $1.44 (72 bb)
UTG: $1.14 (57 bb)
MP: $1.45 (72.5 bb)
CO: $2 (100 bb)
Hero (BTN): $2.01 (100.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 9 Q
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.04, SB calls $0.03, BB folds

Flop: ($0.10) 4 9 Q (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $0.07, SB raises to $0.14, Hero raises to $0.48, SB raises to $0.90, Hero raises to $1.97 and is all-in, SB calls $1.07

Turn: ($4.04) 4 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
River: ($4.04) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Results: $4.04 pot ($0.25 rake)
Final Board: 4 9 Q 4 8
SB showed K K and won $3.79 ($1.78 net)
Hero showed 9 Q and lost (-$2.01 net)

Just a little silly.

Anyway I went through my hand histories and there are really only a few hands I make big mistakes on others where just people rivering a bunch of crap, but it is the way it goes. I am still in my infantile stages of poker, and I shouldn't let this mess with me too much.

Going to take the night to just relax and get back at it tomorrow.

Day 13

Still kind of pissed about last session, but I decided to play more anyway. The NoBs course is solid it was a lot of me missing things that are kind of covered in the videos so I am going to keep at that. I didn't post my graph, but I will now.

Went up just about as fast as it went down. Way she goes I am still learning. I played more today and got a stack back, but I am still really doubting myself at this point.

The No BS course is pretty solid, but I don't think I am adjusting properly when I should. Some times I think oh I have such good odds here I can call, but then it gets me in bad spots. Back at it here, I believe in it, but I need to be a little bit smarter about it.

Today everything was pretty good except for poker. I got a lot of things figure out with my Master's project and I should be pretty far ahead. I went to the gym and felt great! But dirty poker just wouldn't listen. I lost another 3 BI's and just gave up for the day. One kind of dumb play plus like 3 suckouts+coolers. I am going to keep playing a little bit everyday here. I really did some searching and right now there are more things important to me than poker. Like getting out of this mindset, finishing my Masters and trying to get a job in Oil and Gas exploration again. I thought about it last night and I am really lucky to be one of the few people who absolutely love what I do. Like if I won the lottery I would still be looking to work in oil and gas exploration. So I am going to keep the 1-2 hours of poker a day but keep my other things a priority first and just not sweat trying to get a huge poker bankroll for a while.

Today was good as well. I made good progress with my summer project. I just have to do some finishing touches and I should be off and running. I may have to add a few extra things but I think I am doing enough original things that I will be able to put something into a journal, which is going to be really awesome!

Went to the gym again today, and ate well today. It was pretty good I am starting to like the gym again here, and I am really finally starting to get out of this negative mindset here where I am just really hard on myself. The gym is making me start to stand up straighter as well and the feeling of soreness feels like a feeling of accomplishment.

Poker today was really swingy, but I feel like I am getting better everyday. There are a few hands where I feel like I got pretty unlucky, and I ran into q9 > AK again or something. Also ran into AA > KK BB vs SB but that is standard. I felt a lot better about my decisions today and poker feels like it is getting easier. Just one hand at a time. I ended up being down like 20bb or something, but I really don't matter. Keeping my eye on the long term. I am also really looking forward to getting on this zoom table and playing normal tables again with being able to use a hud!

With the rb deal I have on another skin I might just move after my welcome bonus ends at 888. I don't know we will see.

All and all I feel pretty good about life right now. Things feel like they are slowly starting to piece together.

Down again today.

I played everything pretty standard I think. I don't know what is going on. Getting discouraging to say the least. I don't have much else to say at this point. Just going to leave it at that.

Today went better poker wise. I am up 1.5BI and felt generally pretty good about my play. I am not too sure on some spots, but I think overall I am improving so it is good to have a winning day for a while. Was getting use to losing every time. Been really trying to think more in ranges when I play now and not just blindly following the NoBs course. We will see how it works out. I just need to keep improving and hopefully I can get out of NL2 at some point within the next decade.

I am still going to the gym, but I cheated and had an ice tea today for a drink. I went and worked out legs today..hard. I am really starting to feel much better now. The negative mentality is becoming less and less and I am starting to feel much more confident. While it will be a while before I really start to notice the outside effects I am really starting to notice the inside effects. Exercise is really good.

I am going home for a few days tomorrow so I am looking forward to meeting up with some friends and everything, so I may not be playing poker tomorrow. It is about a 5 hour drive from where I am not to where my home is and I am sure I am going to want to hang out with some people, so I think it is okay to take a day off.

My laptop died last night as well. (I promise I didn't smash it!) so I got a new one today and as a result I have no more hand histories, so starting that one from scratch. I didn't back up my stuff to the cloud thing they have on there so, starting over again.

Alright well that is it for now..will leave with this song.

Bit of a change up:

Poker the past few days has been pretty good. I am back to BE from the three day run horrible thing that happened. I am still pretty skeptical of my play at this point, so I am going to just keep posting hands and trying to learn here. Like I said before right now is just about learning. I am pretty sure at this point I am profitable and I will only get better.

I have been at home the past few days, but I am still playing a lot at home, and it has been nice visiting friends and everything. My summer is about it get extremely busy with my project so I might miss the odd day of poker as well, but I am finding as some decisions get easier that I am enjoying poker more and more.

My computer blew up last week and I lost all my hand histories so I am pretty much starting over on my graph, so this is a graph from the last 2 days when I got my new computer and everything.

Mentally I am definitely still improving, and it is just a matter of eating well and keeping on with the gym.

I also feel comfortable with playing 3 tables now, but I think I am going to wait until I get some more profit and I am a little more confident in my game.

Been running much better the past few days. Poker is an easy game when you have the nuts ;)
I am finally out of the red from my run bad/spew time, so I am hoping it continues on! I am still a little concerned about multiway pots with TP. Never really that sure on how to gauge where I am, so I am going to look through some hands on that and really try to fix those leaks.

Been home the past few days and I have really been taking it kind of easy with school and everything. Going to get up really early tomorrow and get things done.

Found a leak of mine where I want to quit after I win a big pot, so that needs to end. Going to be mindful of that and try to eliminate that! I need to play to win!!

Been a while since I posted! Been really busy with school. It is getting to that point where I am starting to feel rushed for my final project, but still been playing a little bit of poker. Been running really well actually I don't think I have ever had such a nice looking graph before. I am still making some mistakes but the fish at NL2 keep giving me my money back so I am running good and enjoying it.

Here is my graph! I haven't had much volume so I am just adding onto the last one i posted
