Hi everyone. In this hand I raise big with KK since there's some limpers in EP and the BU reraise almost 3x. I immediatly put him on QQ+ and maybe AK, since JJ, 10's and AQ would probably just call.
The flop brings an ace and I don't like it since I think it hits his range. He makes a ridiculous bet on the flop and I just call. (maybe I should have raised here).
Since I want a small pot with just pocket pair and an ace on the flop, I check and he check's behind.
River is another J. I have a full house, he bets the pot and I fold.
I think this play is horrible and would like to know your thoughts on how to play it correctly.
Thank you! :f_drink:

Personally i would have 4-bet that pre-flop rather than play it out of position.

Yea I would 4bet pre and try to get it in. Villain bets very small OTF and then checks turn. You don't rep any weak hands and I think villain can stab you aggressively. I don't know how good folding is OTR.

Well, if you do not defend KK here with 4b, what do you 4b then???

I´d also 4bet this preflop. As played I´d probably bluffcatch OTR, however I´m not sure if it´s the right thing to do against nearly pot sized bet.

With him having possible Ax, we cannot bluffcatch that much...

Yep, I would 4-bet PF. I think postflop is fine.
