Looking at the results, one may conclude that villain played this very well. OTT he figured his hand had more value in inducing bluffs.

It seems trendy these days to overbet massively with bluffs. It may work in certain spots against certain opponents, e . g. when holding the ace blocker on a 4-flush board. But constantly getting the bet-size philosophy (bet as much as as possible with your good hands, and as little as possible with your bluffs) wrong is a recipe for disaster.

In particular, here villain asks you to bluff by checking. When he does that, don't bluff. I know you think you had a value hand. Make a value bet, don't bluff. (Bluffing is what you are doing with 2 pair here when you overbet.)

The line he represented is very strong, no room for folding tho

Any 7 makes a straight now and possible flush got there. I see absolutely no reason to overbet this big.

I think you can also save the last $3.71. You need to be good about 21% of the time. I don't see that happening.
