Yes, on Party, there are some tables called "Jackpot". $0.5 is taken to the pot on each hand to increase the jackpot.
I like to play there because a lot of gamblers play on these table because of the jackpot. And also, well, I can win the BBJ too !
The jackpot is released when 2 big hands go to showdown. You also have to use your 2 holes cards to. If I had T7 for example, we wouldn't have won the BBJ, and I would have mucked it PF of course ♦. Most of the money go to the guy who lost the hand (here CO), 2nd biggest money go to the winning hand (me), then everybody who put money in is also rewarded, and to finish, everybody who get its holecard also get some money. All details can be founded here : http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/bad_beat2.html
About the hand, I was against 1 fish and 1 maniac (+1 OK guy). That's why I've called preflop. The I decided to play fit or fold.
2nd point: This hand came just after a series of losing hands and I was not able to restack myself before the handed started. That's why I went all-in on the turn ♦.
Congrats Olivierlu, nice win and thanks for the detailed explanation.
I like your thinking regarding gamblers going for the jackpot, good point. I've just joined PartyPoker myself and currently sticking to regular tables, but hey never say never.
Liking your blog, can't believe I missed if before, you got yourself another regular reader.
Keep up the good work.

Swingy swings !! I finished in the positive side, but last days have been tough for my mind. Hopefully, there has been this BBJ jackpot ! I've decided to cashout $24000. It's slightly above the BBJ I won. My BR is then just above the $5K.
Last weeks, I went through a downswing about $1.5K. I need to restart on the basics. Well, maybe it's just a normal 250BB downswing at these stakes ?? I need to carry on with such swings...
Now the traditionnal hands:
One that has an happy ending for me. MP trashtalked me after the showdown . I blamed me not to get the correct odds to call with my gutshot (He didn't see that was a 2ble one). I was about to tell him that he should have mucked 86s PF, but who cares ? My opponents were very fancy, so with my 8-9 outs on average, that was close ;). Given the flop action, my thought was that somebody would try to steal the pot on the turn. I think that SB tried it:

I've also reread Stoxtrader books, especially the blind defense chapter. I've read that was a good start point for FL-HU. So, here is a line that I was not used to. With small pocket pairs, you can balance between 3bet PF and call PF, check/raise flop. I've never used the 2nd line before:

I've also made a checkup of the limits I mainly play: SH $2/4 and $3/6, and HU. Up to now, that's clear. It's the SH$2/4 that makes my value. I have a decent winrate. For the $3/6, I need to be a little bit tougher, and for HU, I need a better table selection, but I feel like I learn a lot each day !
One point worries me: my AF. It's still too low ?? I worked on it, but it's hard to modify my game. The thing is I don't feel to be too weak (execpt on the river where I still miss value bets).
Other point: rake. It's so horrible to see how much I have raked given my earnigs... I promise myself to go back to FTP for rakeback when shooting 5/T ♦ ♦
why don't you get some private coachings and start with a higher limit?

Private coaching is good idea indeed, but moving up just because he won BBJ is definetely not... It's just gambling IMO
Wow nice win, didn't realise anyone played the BBJ tables under 15/30 though, isn't 50c per hand pretty rape in the long run?
Also that preflop action is a definite open fold with a maniac after you
also a fold after you get capped lol. Then running double 1 outers to get the BBJ, gah *jealousy*
I found the post ! Our beloved head in chief administrator said it: Playing 2/4 BBJ tables is EV+ when the BBJ is bigger than $130K. Furthermore, given the bigger amount of gambler sitting at these tables, he argued that sitting at BBJ tables is OK when the BBJ is greater than $100K:
https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/de/forum/thread.php?threadid=2491
to szcsaba86: I won't start playing limits I'm not used to. 2/4 and 3/6 are my challenges right now. I will move up limit after limit.

Ok, here is the situation. Concerning my HU play, I still don't have the right way to play it. I think my SH too-passive pay make me a HU calling station. Agression is so intense in HU ! Concerning my SH play, I still increase my level. I've started to understand the platinum articles. They are so great, but I need a computer in my head to evaluate my real-time equity ♦
I will put my HU project in parenthesis. I need to word on my agressivity first. I still find to many hands that I play to passively. I need bigger "coroñes" ♦.
Here the traditionnal hands:
HU was not a complete loss of time. The proof is I start some bluffs, thing I almost never did before. In this hand, I was against a winning-thinking-Party-regular-TAG (meh !). We have an history together. Our raises are well respected. This time, my bluff worked:

I almost always conti-bet. Here, the board was really ugly for me. A bluff would have worked, and my conti-bet was almost hopeless. I've started to look for flop not to conti-bet. Here, I did it right ♦ On the turn, it was really close to a fold, by I had still few outs.

I can't believe you get this sort of play on $3/$6.... oh, unless you have your own, really scary avatar on PP with blood dripping off it suggesting anything but a bet/call flop, fold turn line from others in the pot will be dealt with... appropriately....
GO CHUCK!!!
Some very nice hands in there. Since I've been playing a bunch of FL myself I now have to scour the FL blogs for nice moves to add to my arsenal.
I guess I have the exact opposite problem as you though. Since I more or less started FL by playing FL HU (out of fun) and follow a more or less crazy tilt inducing strategy there - I am probably too aggressive in the regular games
@Waiboy: my avatar on PP is the donk one (I think). But I really don't care about it as I choose not to put them up on the table. As almost everybody chose between a standard list, you can't link one particular play with one particular avatar.
I do the reverse on Stars. As there is no predetermined avatar, everybody choose its own one, making easier to me to remember how players played their hands.
Thanks SoyCD ! I'm not done yet with FL-HU, but I really need to play more agressively. I look to myself as a calling station in HU: tight preflop FWIW and looose post-flop.
I look at myself as a Maniac ♦
