first of all use a hand converter next time.
preflop you have two choices:
reraise or call for overpair and set value. since your in position i would prefer flat call and reevaluating thr flop but reraising is fine aswell.
it's a great flop for you rainbow no possible straight draws. i like the donk call since your IP and you don't have to protect.
i would also call the turn push.
it' unfortunate to run into a better hand (AA,KK,QQ?)
but it happens. he could easily hold another overpair like 88, 99, TT. there are several players who play the same way villain did.

Honestly, I'm still unsure whether I played right or not. From my point of view is 50/50 situation.My main reason for calling is that since he just called me preflop, I didn't really put him on a higher pair...

I would just play JJ for set value after a raise. as played on the flop is ok or re-raise to get information on the hand and protect against overcards. as played on turn I would call too. he overbets the pot which seems he really doesn't want to get called which usely is a hand that needs lots of protecting or a bluff. I think villain has a range of 88 + AK.

P.S. calling with overpairs is used a lot to play tricky so you suretantly shouldn't dismiss that he might have on overpair

Don't raise the flop for information. We are in position on a dry board. We get information from calling and seeing what the villain does on the turn!

Preflop's OK but I prefer calling JJ here because raising against early position raiser too often folds out all the hands we want action against (77-99) and keeps in better hands.

I like your postflop. But the turn call would be a crying call.
