I have been playing online poker for two years now. I have navigated most popular sites only to find that most systems in place are very similar most of the time its like your trying to beat the system rather than your opponent. During my time playing my bankroll seems to be up and down frequently no major income made in a days work of what I can think of. Getting it in ahead preflop only to lose to the weaker hand at least 45% of the time. Don't get me wrong but I do enjoy playing online poker it provides a great platform to get lucky strike it rich. Pokerstars would be my favourite site giving the wide variety of low buy-ins and high payouts. Im not one to give much advice as I am just one of the million unknown playing online but I feel if you have a decent bankroll say 2000 dollars I would stick to your local cash game siting at a table you have the advantage of seeing your opponent physically its like you have more feel for the game rather than looking at the computer screen but maybe that's just how I feel about it. For sure live poker rather than online .:f_drink:

So far I have only played online poker. But I am looking forward to my first live game when ever it is in the future. With online poker I find it can be a lonely game and frustrating at times. The theme of my game today has been about getting rivered!
Since you started playing online, do you feel that it has helped you with your live games?

+1. Couldn't be more true that online poker can be rigged. Especially at 888poker and PokerStars Spin n Go (No matter what, you'll lose to river or turn at the end, Better hand loses, worse hand loses.) Don't get me wrong and I'm not bias and I can guarantee they're rigged. Any players defend the site and tell me to study or learn to play, you're just the lucky individuals without your account being curse and experience normal deviation of variance or good luck. Funny how they're not sue yet, oh right because the RNG generator is placed in native indian property where the government can't do anything about them, where all the illegal trades, drugs happens there all the time. LOL, good luck on believing the game is not rigged, because you're not one of players who have not experience the events.

I am from Ireland myself I too find poker can be very hard to cope with when losing it can almost change your whole outlook on life itself. Playing online it does of course help in ways to improve your game although I feel your up against the system of the site rather than the player at times an example holding kings pre flop limping in hiding the strength of your hand out comes an ace this type of strategy works well while playing live but many times I run into situations like this. I attend local games once every two weeks with a low buy in and I come out with 1st 2nd 3rd week in week out. I like to physically be at a table to observe my opponent I feel instincts and my gut works well for me playing live. Its may seem a bit far fetched and its not discussed very often on poker forums but I believe poker has alot to do with your current mood and state of mind on the day. Decisions feel clearer and cards always seem to work in your favor when feeling positive at the table. Online provides a great opportunity to win a healthy bit of money so why not keep on digging in and remaining positive through tough swings so I hope that one day I can build a bankroll and keep progressing intelligently its great that we have a platform such as this to discuss poker and also connect to each other worldwide.
