What was the reason for declining? Low volume, low cEV, no time to play poker full time?
They probably got more suitable candidate for stable (more +EV player for both parties) and decided to turn you down. It sucks to get rejected in any scenario especially they way you did but things like that happen in life all the time. Don't give up. They might open up spots in the future for new students and you can join them then. In the meanwhile use forums, post hands, ask strategy advice and GRIND. Nobody can take that away from you. If you really want to join stable, there is other options as well. It is getting increasingly popular to run Spin stables because it is one of if not the most profitable format in poker right now (past 2 years).

P.S. Coaching for Spins is practically non existing right now. It is way more +EV for any coach to get student into long term deal then coach for hourly. If you do find someone that coaches for hourly, check their results and sustainability in today's games, in other words don't trust someone who beat poker 3 years ago and plays 0 hands today. Also if you do find coach for hourly, it will likely be very expensive especially if you are starting at lowest stakes or anywhere up to 15s really. This is why for small and low stakes stables are +EV (good stables that care about your progress and help you there) and when you play low/mid stakes, its more +EV to hire coach for hourly because by that time you will already have strong knowledge and hire coach for super specific textures, range construction or strategy adjusting.

we are screening applicants very carefully in order to choose the right candidates that we think can make the way to the top + are reliable players to do so with us.
Due to our collaboration with other teams we might sometimes receive information that mean that we can't continue with applications despite initially having thought so.

Judging by the 'collaboration with other teams' bit, some possible reasons for the rejection include (but are not limited to):

- the applicant having an ongoing dispute with another staker;
- as a special case, having an ongoing contract with another stable and trying to quit it while being in makeup there;
- being warned or banned at another staking platform;
- having a negative history of playing staked (having a smaller ROI overall than in the possibly partial graph submitted to SpinLegends, or tilting too much, or mismanaging the bankroll, or cashing out without the staker's permission).

I don't know which of the above applies to 8SerialKiller8 as I don't know his screennames at any poker site, but if he wants our empathy, then he should honestly tell the whole story of his previous staking contract(s) (without naming the stakers, though, as such advertising would be against Pokerstrategy's rules).

I am not sure what they meant by that but I can tell you - If I was running the stable, it would come down to two of the main criteria which is time availability and proven record.
Someone who shows record of grinding 120+ hours per month and is out of school or student who seeks to quit studies and gets support from parents I would always prioritize as candidate vs someone who works full time job, has family to take care of and would like to do poker on the side. While both candidates have their positive and negative sides going for them (someone grinds a lot but is likely "no lifer" vs someone who "has a life" but lacks time to put in the effort to make it), the fact is that in these type of coaching for profit deals, in order to profit in respectable time frame, candidate has to be able to put in a lot of hours at both playing, studying, posting hands, writing thinking process, reading and analyzing things as well as attending coachings and submitting reports via blog and some platform.
Most people who join stables have wrong expectation. They feel that just the fact that they join some stable that they are automatically better players. They lack strong work and grind ethic, they lack to move their comfort zones for both. They don't have grinding down and lack knowledge and then they either get to grind a ton and not study or just study and not grind. Its not a good combo. You need both, especially as beginner when you should be eager to improve and move up ASAP to make money that will make your poker time investment worth while.
When I was starting, I was playing between 6 to 9 hours each day and checking hands(posting thinking process and reading others) for another 2.5 hours + reading poker forums and posting on them. People don't understand what it takes to make it(make it being relative for everyone of course!) in decent time frame as total beginner.
If I was running Spin Legends, I would set minimum 120 hours of grind and 60 hours of study + minimum 60 hands posted with thinking process and 30 hands commented per month with full thinking process. This would be a bare minimum with of course mandatory attending of 1 on 1 coaching and group sessions as well as optional study partner teaming up. This criteria would filter all part time candidates to people who want to go heavy with poker (10 hours per day on average) and I can guarantee you that 10 hours per day of poker will get you there (wherever you want to go and whatever the financial goal is) + it will pay off for both stable and player. When you don't set these goals specifically (as a stable), you get wrong candidates, people who quit and cry about bad beats, people who scam you and all sorts of ugly things that go with it. Its not the way it should be but its the way the world is and there will always be people wanting to take advantage without giving any value back (selfish people).
Bottom line is, very few % applicants will make it as professional poker players because very few % are willing to go the distance to achieve things they set out on paper.
This is the truth and I feel with presenting this realistically would get far less people to apply but those who do apply would have much higher success rate of making it as a poker pro.

When SpinLegends asked me for info about my games, I send them PrtScreen from HM2 from my 3 acc on PS, 888 and PartyPoker. Results was so-so, only cash NL2 was in plus, but Spin-n-Go was in minus (I was extremely unlucky, lost almost all AK vs Ax). But I wrote them, that i'm learning now, and ready to work hard and learn their strategy...If I knew, how to beat Spin - I would do it by myself) without sharing with school of my profit...so, Alvaro Romero send me letter with my acceptance, I was very happy about this, and later that day they changed their mind, without any words of reason...I wasn't banned, I don't have any contracts with other schools...i'm just fish, who read a lot of poker books and try to change my life and became a free person...even after they send me contract with SpinLegend, they declined me...so, I will try hard to became poker pro without SpinLegends...they lost good student) because "i will became poker pro or dye trying" (sorry for my English, i'm from Ukraine)
