I have a question: I know you can't win every SNG but let's say you're facing an over aggressive villain and you're card dead, clearly dominated in most hands, and your stack's just bleeding slowly? What I've *been* doing is just continuing patience and waiting for the blinds to escalate so I can take that big shot on a preflop all in or check/jam post flop. Is this the right process or rather than just keep letting it bleed and go under 12 bb's, should you start throwing ATC into the middle before you reach that point? Is that more +EV in the long run than my current approach?

A ton of the guys I'm facing in the micro husng's right now love to bluff raise, but not bluff shove. I'm worried about winding up losing 20+% of my stack on one hand early in the game. When I have played marginal hands during these, I do get check raised and bet huge against and just have to fold out of an ugly spot on the turn or river. Once again, I find myself sitting back on that long ball check raise with a big hand to even the game back up or go ahead.

For the record I'm playing $2 - $3 dollar regulars right now and looking to move up in stakes as quickly as possible.

Well, I had started playing the $2's about 10 days ago and was just crushing it and then I literally couldn't buy a win. It was terrible. I lost like 19/25 at one point in the $2 and $3's where I was winning @ about 80% ITM prior. It was a downswing caused by natural variance with a touch of tilt and a side of ignorance thrown in. Surprise, surprise, instead of "taking a break" or clearing my head, I just studied/played like crazy until I figured out what was wrong. Well, now the same type of players I'm talking about in the post above are losing every game to me and I've won 9 of the last 10 $2's. I have over 100+ BI's for $3 so if this keeps up tonight, I'll move back to $3's tomorrow and see how that goes.

Waiting for the right spot to check/raise/jam these guys has helped out tremendously. Their "I'll just run you over", 90/60/30 style (yes, some are just crazy) typically puts them up by a few chips early but even if I go down to 800 or 900, all it takes is one big hand to basically put them on their heels. Once they're down to 1000 chips, some of these guys play push/shove mode even if they're still at over 30bb's. If you get them shaken and out of their game, they start firing all sorts of cards into the middle.

I already know from experience that they're nittier @ $5 and $7's but I've established my ranges at this point and my discipline has become decent at the tables. I'm folding out a lot of trash that I might have gotten myself into trouble with before early on in the SNG.

You guys here at PS.com need to add more HUSNG videos. The ones that you have up are absolutely amazing. Collin Moshman is a great coach and has already, in 2 videos, elevated my game significantly.

Those two videos have the best micro/small HUSNG content I can find online. Again, I'd be a permanent subscriber if you added even one or two of these a month in addition to what you're already pumping out. Instant return on investment.

They literally, just today, added turbo HUSNG to the BetOnline network. They only had regulars for years before this. I ranted about it to live chat a few times this week and boom - here they are. So, I'm just playing a few of these to see how they compare to the regulars I've been playing. Definitely more variance but like 2-3x the volume. I'll see how it goes.

It's interesting because you need to widen your ranges in turbos but these guys are widening them more than just enough to make a consistent profit. This hand is another example of me learning from Collin. I never would have gotten this kind of value from the QQ's in this spot before. In all reality, I would have been really afraid of a 5 on the flop. Videos, Power Equilab, and digging into a little math have helped a lot. Where I'm still really weak and can just *feel* how much I would benefit from a better understanding of it is combinatorics. I'm going to start getting into that next.

edit: lol @ fear of the 5. He has trips in his range 1.2% of the time here and obviously it would only improve me to the virtual nuts.
