I think your line is fine.
Just don´t know how often would you get free showdown, once you call on the flop, if he decides to barrel on the turn.
I think a lot of times he is going to c/c on the turn with medium pp-s and because of that I´d bet turn, also he can then c/r turn for trips and sometimes with bluff, although check behind is also fine line there.
