Party, $0.25/$0.50 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

SB: $119.89 (239.8 bb)
BB: $63.49 (127 bb)
Hero (UTG): $136.30 (272.6 bb)
MP: $66.20 (132.4 bb)
CO: $50 (100 bb)
BTN: $56.44 (112.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 5♥: 7♥: T♠: 8♠:
Hero raises to $1.75, MP calls $1.75, 3 folds, BB calls $1.25

Flop: ($5.50) 7♠: 9♣: 5♠: (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4, 2 folds

MP is a reg. No stats. Player 4 is a recreational. Often bluffing turns, including mw, for pot.

Would you check such boards from time to time to balance our UTG checking range? With what plan? Would you be checking to x/r vs a bet by MP reg or x/c?

Thanks

No, Im betting for sure. Very good hand but I want the action now and not let ppl get free cards where they can pick up equity. If I were to check it would be for trapping and check-raising as big as possible, I see no benefit check-calling OOP.

fold pre

bet stackoff or xr are good but betting our equity and getting immediate folds is best imo

i havent checked it but we are favoritea vs naked nuts right?

Sure, hero has 62% against random 86. Probably villain has something to go with that 86 though, and I'm not expecting light stackoffs so could be flipping against something else. Taking this down here however is a good result.

I think open pre is fine. Bottom end of utg range though so might just fold if aggressive players in the table or everyone seeing every flop. But decent hand and can be otherwise opened even utg imo.

I'm not so sure getting immediate folds is that awesome, tbh. When we cbet such boards as utg, our opponents are going to put us on overpair plus high flushdraw as a minimum (because cbetting bare overpair seems just bad) so I dunno if we are getting that much action. I think allowing a much worse hand to stab at this pot could be pretty nice. Kyyberi?

hey,
iif the otehr guy was in BU i d check 100%, vs MP, not sure. he shoudl not stab here that often.. depends on his range rly, if typical tho, i would mostly bet, coz ur options on T after x,x,x are very limited w MP covering the highcard range which u would want to rep, and also BB still leading pretty wide at it, where it might be awkward raising on too many turns, so ur feq on later streets drops too much imo.

imo u should bet here a lot actually vs MP and BB competent coz BB should be leading here a ton. then sure overfolidng vs a bet, and MP is just not hitting this enough.

I dont think ppl stab such boards lightly with "much worse hands" . Maybe if you have read that MP takes wild stab almost always even mw.

While your hand is strong equitywise otf, I dont think it's such a monster that it benefits be slowplayed.
