If you see to the old days like before black Friday there was enough action with the Americans still playing, but now it’s indeed tough to play a lot of tables at once on most stakes. Even on the biggest site Pokerstars I think.

Poker is more than just a hand chart although it is handy for tightening up starting hand you need to trust yourself post flop.
I find it hard to play more than three tables at a time anyway 
On Stars from .5/1 to 2/4 there are usually at least three really soft tables.
I am playing FL on 888poker and on P.S.. I am playing FL10 - 6H only, full ring is not played.
On 888poker there is 1 or 2-3 tables, but offen is hard to find table for play. You can play 10-20 hand and than people go out.
On P.S. you can find over 5 tables. Lot of people are waiting there for playing.

Sounds to me to me you are expecting the starting hand chart to hold up and last for you.
There are many different situations you need to understand to grow and experience to get better.
I have to ask this ;
1 were any mistakes made by you ? / the other player
2 are you reading (under standing other players play right )
3 did you do anything unexpected so you were not systematic in your play ?
4 are results your expectations with out realizing you may not have been
playing optimum poker at the time
I can go on with more of this to help you think about all aspects on what is going on around you at the table. This post is to help you look at other aspects as you play and to better under stand what you might be telling other players through your play as well as what you are getting from their play back at you. some times we dont catch things that we should or we just plain miss under stand things that we should. it is very possible to make money, just need to find the right players and find your own suitable game.
