Thanks Bart, I'll try to remember to drop you a message on Thursday.
Private PS Tourny 85347213 $5.50 on fulltilt startin in 2 hrs 35 mins!!! Get ur asses in ppl!!! Password: rivered
If no one else joins in the next hour I may advertise it on the PocketFives forum just so we can get a decent tourney going.
But I would much rather have PS members there.
I was going to play but something came up at the last minute and I had to unregister 30 minutes before it started. I'll try to catch the next one
Didn't happen, no players. ![]()
Would a Saturday or Sunday work better for people? Maybe earlier in the day so everyone can play?
Not everyones an owl like me
but maybe like 2pm EST/7pm GMT on a sunday would be better all round
Well it looks like some people were put off by the $5 buy-in... perhaps make it $2 and see how it goes? As for the time I really don't mind. Whatever works with people.
Think $5 is probably the minimum you can set up for private tourneys, on some sites anyway.
@wasy8, don't lose heart mate, the pokerstars one struggled to get people involved too, but in the end managed to get a sng (9 players) going which was still great fun.
Agree weekend will probably attract more members, maybe consider Saturday as I understand another PokerStars event is scheduled for Sunday. Would be nice for members to have the option to compete in both and I will certainly try to make yours on Full Tilt next time around ![]()
In terms of time, always difficult as cannot accomodate everyone, but something like a 7pm (UK)/8pm (Central European)/2pm (Eastern US/Canadian) time (hoping i got the time delays right
?) would probably attract the areas where the bulk of members live, although I'm conscious that this doesn't help our valued Australian/New Zeland/Far East members much
Bart
Yeah I noticed that too. I was thinking I might make it $2 next time. But before I try this again I'd like to find out what time works best for people so this tourney doesnt flop again.
Does 2pm EST work for most people? on Saturday?

You can set up private tourneys for a lot less on FTP, I've seen some at like $1 buy-in including rake.
I don't want to do it on Sunday, I'd like to participate in the stars one this time around too.
If i get enough positive response for Saturday at 7pm UK time, then I'll go ahead and send FTP an email today so we can get it set up in time.
I can't make it on saturday, whats wrong with sunday? (saturday ppl goin out gettin drunk :P)

ha, i wasn't gonna do it on sunday because it would be the same time as the Stars tourney.
Besides.....7 pm UK time.....you have plenty of time to get out and drink after. You can pregame during the tourney
