Poker Stars, $3.32 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BB: 1,440 (72 bb)
Hero (SB): 1,560 (78 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8♣: 7♦:
Hero raises to 40, BB raises to 110, Hero calls 70

Flop: (220) 7♠: 2♥: 2♦: (2 players)
BB bets 100, Hero raises to 240, BB raises to 450, Hero calls 210

Turn: (1,120) 6♠: (2 players)
BB bets 880 and is all-in, Hero calls 880

Villan after 180 hands played:
3b range is pretty narrow: 8.3%
VB low like 80/240, 120/400 with TPTK ,
cb 86% in standard pots and 100% when he 3bets (but the sample here is very low since his 3b range is so narrow)
and loads of push bluffs mostly with any type of draws but with air as well

So 87o is the bottom of my standard 3b calling range vs anyone.
Flop comes pretty good. He missed all his A9s+ , ATo+ so im only worried ab PP 99+ i have a blocker against 88 and its highly unlikely he has 77 there.
If I call i have to fold to any OC on the turn so i decide to raise hoping for a push and ez call.
But he rr and now im facing a bit tough decision. I know he is still capable of rr for bluff but was rather expecting a push.
I decided to call which is not great casue, pot gets a lot bigger and any 9+ is bad for me and I have to fold to any bet unless he shoves.
What would you guys do on that Flop?

Turn is ez game and i know im ahead there so snap call.

Problem with raising the flop is that you isolate yourself against A7, over pairs and better. The rest of the hands would fold. His 3bet sizing looks weird for sure, but I don’t see a reason for him to 3bet bluff like this and I expect he has almost always a made hand here and I would fold here.

The turn is a blank and makes no different and is folding the best I think. I don’t see a reason for him to value shove worse hands than top pair and most bluffs would fold the flop on your raise. That makes it for me interesting to know why you think you are ahead on the turn.

I make my decisions mostly based on my reads and a bit on stats. This is not an unknown player i think i have pretty solid reads on him.
I agree I may isolate myself against over pairs, dont see A7 in his 3betting range and even if he sporadically throws that A7(maybe A7s) i have a blocker there so its less likely for him to have it. But as I mentioned before I see his 3bet range from A9s+ ,ATo+.

Again based on reads his sizing doesnt add up. As mention before he value bets/cbets around 1/3 of the pot. And as mentioned before i know he is capable of 3bet bluffing like that. However I was torn here. It was like 50/50 decision to fold or call/thin 4bet.
Problem with call is that i have to fold to any OC on the turn but then it is an ez decision there. He bets i fold, he shoves i call.
If i 4bet and he shoves its deff a fold but I invest more chips.
Fold just seems to be too weak and exploitable against him.

Its in my reads. The guy shoves a lot. We played 180 hands but over good few games. Basically each game ended with his shove and 100% of times it was eaither a draw or complete air.

Against a tight 3bet range pre-flop is it already close I think to defend with 87o in position.

Anyway, if you think you are ahead on the turn you need to have reads he would 3bet bluff the flop often, because there aren’t any draws he could have and then he need to do this with complete air and that should be only Ax hands and that makes no sense at all. Even if he would do that I prefer to shove the flop then calling his 3bet. There are so many over cards that could hurt our hand.
