PokerStars - 150/300 Ante 25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: 13.94 BB (VPIP: 26.87, PFR: 21.09, 3Bet Preflop: 4.17, Hands: 140)
Hero (SB): 16.06 BB

2 players post ante of 0.08 BB, Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.67 BB) Hero has 9♦ Q♠

Hero calls 0.5 BB, BB checks

Flop: (2.17 BB, 2 players) Q♣ 5♠ 4♣
BB bets 1 BB, Hero raises to 3.08 BB, BB raises to 12.86 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 9.78 BB

I decided to play this hand limping preflop. When he bets preflop 1bb it seems a draw, some weak hand so i raise to protect my hand but then he goes all in. So the pot odds to call it's around 35% and if i fold i will stay with 10bb, based on this could i fold
my hand? TP could be the best hand most of times... I'm following ranges that i read on harrington's book, and i'm trying to start to work on this because i was to tight on hu.

If he folds a lot on steals you can also min raise here. Than you can win without playing post-flop. The rest of the hand seems standard to raise to protect your hand against draws and he could have also a Q in his range you beat sometimes.

pre i think we should raise,as it makes our next bets a bit more scary
on the flop I agree with your rationale but your bet sizing does not say the same story. he has to call 2.08bb for 6.25bb. If you raise I think you should raise bigger.
Also imagine, what do you expect him to fold with 2bb raise?
as played is quite tough to fold your TPmK HU. I would do it with reads or if he is supper passive.

I raise this hand preflop but limp 14bb deep is fine.
If you are looking for a fold here, it will be tough.
I agree with @nutural, with stacks as shollow i would need some reads otherwise I call this. A lot of worse pairs and draws will donk/push this 14bb deep.

Having said that i would like to know his tendencies in spots like this. How is he playing in limped pots? He donks slightly below 1/2 pot. Why? Have you noticed that before? In what spots? Boards? Is it standard for him? When someone bets like that I realy want to know if he is drawing this way or vb and trying to induce a raise from u? is he betting his bottom range like this? Is he only donking limped pots? etc.
All im trying to say is that you need to make some notes. Think most of the time you give us stats of your opponets and not so many reads. Try to notice a bit more throughout the game.
Good luck

Sometimes it's difficult to pay attention to those details because HU last only for a few hands and some players that are passive all through the game goes crazy on HU shoving and raising everything. Thanks for helping me i will try to be more aware about some reads
