It’s to bad we don’t know much of our villain, but I don’t think your move is to bad. He could call with 2 pair as well and most draws should fold the turn already.

Yep the line you took is fine to me, we still get calls from weaker hands

I am not a fan of betting when both draws complete...

But then he x's back all his 2p hands and we still have to call a ship? I don't think bet/folding is an option here? Or check folding?

OTR it's not overplay, imo, I think every AQ will call and there is more AQ than FD combos.

I do not think the river card is that scary. Maybe he can find a value bet if he has an ace, maybe it is just scary enough to stop him from doing that? If we check and he bets I am calling. If we bet and he calls we are not always losing, but maybe often enough.

I think we might just about be better off checking, let him bluff rarely, let him over value two pairs, and if he has got the flush here then we are making money every time he takes this line. The question really is does he call when we bet and have him beat enough times... I think he probably does to be honest. But it is close, either way I am not folding though, but maybe he can? Yes I think check and let him try to take the pot down with a scary card on a board we look like we have been protecting.

I think on the turn, showing a str8 draw and a flush draw, you should all-in/check/call but not raise...

Raising allows your opponent to call to see the draw heavy river card...

checking allows your opponent to keep the pot small if he completes his draw on the river wich allows you to call a 1/2 to pot size "bluff bet"... (you would check/fold the river if you checked turn and villain all-in's on river card)....

calling assumes that your opponent is bluffing which your trips could bluff catch for value

on the river its a check/call but not vs all-in's...

Check for scary draw hitters/calling for bluffs

just my thoughts.

he will check behind in 85% of the time and then you miss the value.
