SB posts SB 0.4 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has A♣ A♦

fold, fold, CO raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 12 BB, CO calls 9 BB

Flop: (24.4 BB, 2 players) 2♦ 4♣ 8♣
Hero bets 12 BB, CO calls 12 BB
Standard

Turn: (48.4 BB, 2 players) 6♠
Hero bets 26 BB, CO raises to 75.2 BB, Hero raises to 121 BB and is all-in, CO calls 40 BB and is all-in
My thoughts were he can not have 22 33 66 or 45 suited or some because he called a 3 bet OOP... I did NOT think enough about him calling with 88 and the deepness of our stacks.....
I thought KK maybe QQ maybe maybe JJ

Would you guys out there go broke with this one or can you fold the turn raise?

Spoiler

River: (278.8 BB, 2 players) J♦

Hero shows A♣ A♦ (One Pair, Aces)
(Pre 80%, Flop 14%, Turn 5%)
CO shows 8♠ 8♥ (Three of a Kind, Eights)
(Pre 20%, Flop 86%, Turn 95%)
CO wins 267.2 BB

Deeper you are more goofy plays can be made. I think the deeper you are the more calls you'll see from lower pocket pairs.
Also if you think about his range on the turn, you hold the Ac so he doesn't even have the club draw semi-bluff in his range.
Definitely fold to the turn raise. Aces vs a turn raise in a 3b pot is deaddd.

I think so to and he’s committing himself with the raise as well.
That’s suspicious as well and most of the time a sign of a made hand like a set.

Agree that when playing deep ( a bit deep) more PPs are calling and trying to set mine.
There was an old theorem ( Baluga) that said you should be folding everything below top 2P when facing a turn raise.....

otf, the bet is too small. There are some draws, so i would not bet less than 2/3 pot.

ott, it’s a fold, as others already pointed out.

Villain call 3bet IP,88 are standard call for CO. OTT it is fold.
Bet bigger if you want to charge 99-JJ, also assume reg never raise with those hands.

When you are a bit deep it is quite normal for lower pockets to call. But you did 3bet quite big. I would still include 88 and 66 in his range. And when you block the nut flush draw I think it is quite unlikely that he would be bluffing here. And if he is bluffing, you do make him fold all of his bluffs with that 3bet OTT so it is just isolating yourself against sets. I would give up there.
