Thoughts:

Spoiler

playing for set value against the loose player from UTG. No postflop stats, so I didn't know if he was loose pos or only pre.

Flop: (13.4 BB, 3 players) J♠ K♥ 2♥
UTG+1 checks, MP checks, Hero checks

Turn: (13.4 BB, 3 players) 4♠
UTG+1 checks, MP checks, Hero bets 7.6 BB, fold, fold
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

after the flop and the turn running in check, I decided to stab here. Even with a probable 2nd best hand.
Not sure if it was a good move. I think I only represent JXs (AJs, QJs, JTs), KTs and a bdfd.
How about sizing? Should I bet bigger? Smaller?

My plan, for the river, was fold to any bet, unimproved.
Even if I had improved to an almost impossible set, the 9 could complete some draws, so I'd have to play the river carefully. That's why I think my bet here wasn't good.

Spoiler

Hero wins 12.8 BB

Pre-flop seems standard defend for set value and against 2 fishy players post-flop I would most likely check it down. I doubt both villains would fold draws on 1 street and bet with it post-flop. If you bet half pot seems good enough to me.

i'm checking as well, but a bet is probably not too bad. it's not entirely unlikely that you have the best hand and then it's good to protect against overcards equity
