what about river? i dont think he would slowplay set like this so its either busted draw or some AT kinda hand which just luckily got there. What do you think about the call?

Hello,

Preflop: I don't like Calling here at all with such hand, I either raise it up or fold.

As played
I am folding on river.

Best regards,
Rensu

i should have added that UTG is a lag 23/20/3 something, thats why i called preflop.

not good enough for me. AJ is so tough multiway against an utg raiser. I don't like the rivercall, but what the hell do i know, i only play sh.

Seems like MP2 has set here, so I would fold river. Otherwise nh!

i also lean tow folding bcs this c/c, c/c, shove line by loose tricky plrs from my own exp is nutzzz bcs they have very weird value plays oop & dont care abt protection at all.. but obv read dependant

Exactly, I started making funky plays with sets also when I moved to NL200, b/b, b/b line looks too strong.

Preflop you could bluff 3bet. Calling isn't too bad as well. As played I am calling the river, since I can't see him playing a set like that, so it's either a T or air.

Best regards,
TribunCaesar

Imo you see people play set that way rather often and by calling that river you pay them off.

I agree with tribun as u can see from the call but everyone else doesnt think its a good idea to call.

I would like to know what twicet thinks before revealing the results. :)

preflop:
since utg is that loose (i assume also utg) he has a weak range and squeezing here will show an immediate profit. mp cant really call your squeeze too often since he most likely has a speculative hand (pp, sc). also, AJo doesnt play tooo great postflop. but with position call>fold pre. however, raise is imo way better here dann calling just because u will get the dead money so often, which is a great result.
hence: squeeze/fold > call > fold

i would call AJs though. i dont wanna raise/fold that hand pre vs those opponents. just too much postflop value in that hand imo, especially ip. AJs can cooler a lot :f_biggrin:

flop:
i bet 19-25 this board is super wet. although utg might c/f almost always, the flop hits his mp sc range well => extracting value by betting bigger (b/f though!)

turn:
since i bet flop bigger, the ps on the turn would be larger. but i dont like your small turn bet too much. we still want to bet for value (or u could also say for protection) 5/6 pot or so. his range obv consists of so many draws/tp that u have beat that u want to bet hard. again, its a b/f for me.

river:
if he doesnt raise flop or turn oop on such a wet board, he almost never has a set imo. but since u bet so small on flop and turn he will have many Tx in his range. thats why i quite easily fold the river. once u bet 2 streets hard u wont get the bluff shove oop with busted draws too often. but your smallish bets kinda indicate a little weakness so we cannot be totally sure of what he thinks of your range.

his af in general seems to be very low which is another reason for folding. his river af is inf. but this could be heavily affected by the small (?) sample size. with that low flop and turn af i dont expect him to be too crazy on the river actually.
