I suppose not, if else why the heck would they fart in their staircases ?

In English we have a verb to defenestrate
This means to throw a person out a window. I scares me somewhat that a language has a need for such a specific term, but I'm OK with it as long as I'm not the defenestratee

Have a great weekend all !

I used to listen to a lot of Rammstein -- my daughter liked them. A lot!
The one I rather liked was...

Didn't care for the video though. The song hangs together all on its own...

I like Rammstein. And Eisbrecher. And Oomph!
And even Nevada Tan/Panic. But that's more of a shameful secret already. :sifflote:

Sooo, from music to - STT time!

Don´t feel like sitting for 6,7,8 hours or more at the tables so I decided to do an STT session. Played mostly DONs, which went okay. I made an okay-winning by still running far under EV and got AA cracked 3 times and KK cracked once. But in DON it´s all about fold equity! So I could fight my way through with pushing Villains out of the pot, making good bluffs beeing aggro pre and letting the fishes just collide and kick out each other. Like that I could win most of my DONs, the once I lost were with bad luck. I played pretty tight because with no-fold-button fishes or those who make huge mistakes it´s not necessary to do tricky play or anything. So, just easy going, ABC-poker with some aggro moves. It worked out!

OMG

I never thought I would see Ikke Huftgold in this thread. That song is so much fun :f_biggrin: I'm both proud and ashamed to say that I know that entire song by heart. Lots of fun when you've had a beer or two too many with your mates tho :f_drink:

And to be fair, yes there is actually quite some good German music out there (though I'm not a huge rammstein fan myself) :)

But here in the Netherlands I don't think people know too much German music besides rammstein and maybe Helene Fischer (and then ofc only one song)...

Isn't that kinda hard when you try to focus on MTTs? Or do you mostly play turbos? I mean, regular speed let alone deepstack games can easily last 5h+ even on party with relatively small fields.

Genuinely curious how you manage this :)

That works if you have a big enough stack to adequately cover those behind you.
I think DoNs are nearly pure ICM.

Primary rule: If there are two people ahead of you in the pot -- let 'em kill each other off!

Cheers,

I like Rammstein, have seen them twice in Copenhagen. I like Adios and Mutter best

You mean the STTs? No way! I mainly play double of nothing-SNGs, they are turbos and they are easy, lots of fishes there and all you have to do is wait patiently for a good hand or a good bluff/jam spot. There are so many calling stations that you can play your value hands aggressively, you don´t have to play tricky. In the DONs I play pretty nitty and it´s just comfortable, you don´t have to think much.

The MTTs I play of course differently. I play LAG if not too many calling stations are at my table. Otherwise: ABC-poker _ugly: But mostly I play WAY looser in MTTs. Of course I can´t keep up full focus for 6-8 hours or more, when I get tired I just play a couple of rounds TAG to relax my brain.

With those thoughts in mind, what do you think of this hand from a $0.40 DoN on 888?

Since BTN merely called pre, I had his range capped with no PP better than mine...
I'm thinking I should have shoved pre, but not having shoved, BTN should have.
Outcome is the same, but ...

888 Poker - 20/40 Ante 5 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 7 players

Vorpal, on this flop JJ is mostly the best hand. So: as played. Bad luck that there were KK, but luck on the turn _thumbsup:

BTN should jam with his stack and even then: JJ is a call. I wouldn´t jam in a DON pre, in an MTT or SNG I get it in pre but in a DON we are a bit more careful because it´s all about preserving our stack. It´s all about survival.

I am not a big fan of 888, I barely can see the cards and the chips and many SnGs and MTTs are turbos or hypers, most MTTs are rebuys and I´m not a big fan of them. The problem with those turbos and hypers is high variance, as we can see in the challenge of UPAY4DINNER.

Speaking of DONs ....... even more STT-time!!

Can´t play MTTs today, so it´s STT-time again _biggrin: Found out that the DONs on Party are really super-profitable :profit: Played 10-max and 6-max DONs from 1.10$ to 5.50$ while I could win some DONs without playing a single hand (buy-in: 5.50$ !!!!) :mdr:. Yeah, told that yesterday: It´s enough to play nitty TAG, the fishes kick out each other, so I just have to play the good hands, I get maximum value. The Monster Series bring again new fresh fishes to the tables :profit

I wish I could play on Party -- the client crashes instantly when I open it.

Their support group made several suggestions, but none worked.
