hi,

this hands confuse me. It happens pretty often that guys in mtt shove way to deep. This guy shoves 20bb and imo his range should be capped. If his range is capped I have to call 77+ ATo+A9s+. he is a 36/10/8 on 43. HRC

IPoker, $0.91 Buy-in (100/200 blinds, 20 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Hero (SB): 9,501 (47.5 bb)
BB: 14,845 (74.2 bb)
UTG+2: 8,048 (40.2 bb)
MP1: 17,991 (90 bb)
MP2: 9,048 (45.2 bb)
MP3: 19,836 (99.2 bb)
CO: 8,631 (43.2 bb)
BTN: 3,755 (18.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A♣: Q♦:
2 folds, MP2 calls 200, 2 folds, BTN raises to 3,735 and is all-in, 3 folds

I would probably reshav there. Limper is probably weak and from stats it looks btn is rather loose so I think it should be profitable. He can shav something like KTs for example, many suited aces... And against his range you should be good.

Not sure he would shove wide enough with a PFR of only 10, but shoving is fine most of the time with AQo. A range of AQ+ and 88 is most likely better against a loose passive player.

Do you agree that his range is capped?

It's indeed likely he would raise QQ+ and shove the weaker hands, but shoving 18bb stack with 1 limper isn't to crazy with antes in game.
